Our RMR Slide for Glock® 17 Gen3 pistols features distinctive, wraparound front cocking serrations that aid in manipulating the slide to check the chamber or clear a jam. (OK, we’ll admit it: the serrations just look cool, too.) It also comes with a pre-cut slot for easy, secure mounting of a Trijicon RMR or Holosun red dot sight. All RMR Slides also have standard Glock® factory front and rear sight dovetails for "iron" backup sights. To get proper co-witnessing with the RMR, you will need to also install suppressor-height iron sights.
You can also get your Brownells RMR Slide for Glock® 17 Gen3 with a "window" cutout on top that enhances airflow to keep the barrel cool - ideal for hard-working action competition pistols. Plus, if you have an upgraded barrel with a contrasting finish or a unique exterior pattern (fluting, spirals, "flames," etc.) the window lets you show it off a bit!
Each RMR Slide for Glock® starts life as a billet of 17-4 stainless steel that is machined to Glock® factory specifications inside, so it’ll fit factory frames and accept factory or aftermarket barrels and Gen3 internal parts. Slides are heat-treated to Rc 41-44 on the Rockwell C scale for added surface hardness and wear resistance. You can get your RMR slide in one of 3 finishes: a wear-resistant basic Black Nitride, or a thin, extremely tough, physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating in Bronze or Flat Dark Earth (FDE).

There’s slide adapters, almost all these slides online are for Gen3.
No it will not fit Gen 5. That’s why it says Gen 3 in the description.
Only thing I don't like is iron sights sit behind RMR cut.
Anyone ever receive the gift card after ordering?
FYI.
I received Gift Card via email today (01/10/2019) after talking to Brownells Reps (via Chat).
nice slide for the price but it get scratch mark on surface easily just by placing it on table or in and out of holster.. just got mine few weeks ago and finished my g19 build with all glock oem parts and lower gen3 and getting bullet jam when loading in chamber indicator.
So 160 slide 70 upper parts 160 complete lower 90 barrel 40-100 sights. Way more of regular brand new glock
Add in an RMR cut and front serrations and you’re looking at a lot more for an OEM glock.
I bought the Glock 19 Non-RMR version. The machining was excellent, not a tool mark in sight. The finish was adequate, however I bought it to have nickel boron coated. Overall a great slide, especially with a $10 off promo+free shipping.
I have the G17 version and It is really nice with the RMR on top. It functions perfect (at least 1,000 rounds so far) and looks great. Now I am assembling a G19 with this slide with no RMR cut, just Iron sights. Well it came in the mail the other day and it had a significant discoloration around the ejector area. Really disappointed. I am sure Brownells will exchange it but the slide is on backorder, now I have to wait longer.

I really wish this thing came with a plate to fill the cutout. I see no mention of it, so I'm assuming it doesn't.
I hear that. I recently had a Glock slide cut, but I had a racetrack cut to give me the longest sight radius possible. I then had the machine shop take the plate and cut a dovetail into the plate itself should I want to remove the RMR and go back to the default sights, this enables me to still have the longest sight radius as possible.
I did this on an old Glock, came out pretty neat.
Mapleleaf firearms makes one for this slide.

thanks for this ....and now that I looked on the website I think this is the way to go slide wise too.
The Q&A section says they are working on a fill plate, so I'm posting in case anyone else wonders the same thing.
It says Gen3- will it work on my Gen2?
The Q&A section on their website says it will (by Brownells employees).
Generally speaking anything gens 1-3 are compatible with one another with an odd exception or 2 (ie the Gen 1's with the thinner slides for example). It's generally a pretty safe bet that gen 2 & 3 are compatible with one another though (I don't think much if anything changed with the slide between 2 & 3).
Picture isn't 100% accurate. The front serrations don't go on top there's a rectangle cut out. That's the window. Still like it for the price.
Will this fit a Gen5??
