Challenger's Super Shortshell shotshells are a full 1" shorter (1-3/4" vs. 2-3/4") than standard-length shells. The benefit? You can load more rounds into the magazine tube of your pump action shotgun. Super Shortshells also make excellent reduced-power loads for recoil-sensitive shooters. Cheddite primers give "surefire" reliability, while the slow-burning powder spreads out the recoil impulse to help make Shortshells extremely easy on the shoulder. Extra-hard, high-antimony pellets maximize the "punch" of the smaller shot loads.
The key to getting the Shortshells to cycle reliably from your shotgun's magazine tube into the chamber is the OPSol Mini-Clip™. It fits in the opening under the receiver of any Mossberg 500, 590 590A1, Shockwave, or Maverick 88 12-gauge shotgun. Once installed, the OPSol Mini-Clip™ allows for reliable cycling of the Shortshells straight from the magazine. Want to shoot longer shells? The clip comes out just as easily as it went in.
