Got both of these charging handles in a couple days. These are good to go in my opinion. Glad they went to the 7075. Bought one earlier in 6065 and they refunded me for it and sent a new one for free. Good customer service.

Hi, since this was originally posted, we upped the anty a little and made these all out of 7075 aluminum and we also came out with one for the DPMS AR-10 / LR-308 platform.

You can use code 15BRK for 15% all of our items in our store, including either of these charging handles.

This code is good until June 1st.

Thanks for your interest!

Out of Stock so I ended up buying a chinesium "butterfly" CH for $10. It's too bad because this CH actually looks really nice. I might buy one when they come back in stock. You can never have enough charging handles. Even if I don't use them I'll have a friend putting a build together at some point. As long as the shipping stays free. I have a hard time justifying paying $7 to ship something that weighs a couple of ounces. And to add my 2 cents, I obviously don't give a shit if the charging handle is made in China or not. I'd love to have a BCM gunfighter or a Raptor because their action is smooth but the prices aren't reasonable. $80 for a charging handle? Yeah, fuck you. The difference in price can't be explained away by the labor cost, it still only cost $5-$10 to make the thing. It's nothing but greed on the manufacturers part. I'll jack off my chinesium CH a couple of hundred times so it's nice and smooth.

Hi, we moved all of our production over to 7075 aluminum so we should see them finished in early March. Thanks for your patience!

Hi, this code expired a few weeks ago. You can use code BK15 for 15% off your entire first order. Thanks!

You should get these back in stock and keep the shipping free. These look like nice charging handles, especially for the price point.

ya I tried one and the roll pins fell out also at the range, figured something like that would happen

Hi, Sorry to hear that. You can always send us an email and we'll get you a new one to try or get you a refund if you could send us a photo of the charging handle! This is the first we've heard of the roll pins falling out of ours but we'll definitely be checking our roll pin tensions. Thanks for giving it a try!

I've had one since they came out with their deal early December and have put about few hundred rounds through it. I've been pretty hard on it and it seems to be holding up well. As far as quality goes, i can tell its 6061, and not 7075 like the raptor charging handles. But for 1/5 the price, i'm happy with it

Funny how everyone screams “an ar is an ar”
but when someone posts a cheap charging handle they lose their minds. Lol! Yes, I’m aware it may be made in China but so may do much of that sworn “Mill Spec” Parts you buy. Bout wait, PSA are kings of the world!!!

Made in USA?

no response would indicate it's not but I have one of these made in upstate NY manufacturer direct for about the same price seems solid so far.

This is likely the same Chinese charging handle others are also re-branding.

Does it matter though? As far as fitment?

As far as fitment, it does not matter. In terms of quality I cannot speak for this specific one, but other Chinese ones I owned which resulted in loose pins and in loosing the tension on one ear which makes it rattle. Also the type of aluminum is different on the China versions.

I bought one from Stag before the “news” cane out. I’ve used it once firing about 90-120 rds. So far it’s held up just fine. No issues with finish or pins coming lose etc

I think he is referring to this https://www.ar15.com/forums/Industry/Details-on-Stag-Arms-14-99-Ambi-Charging-Handle-/157-290221/...

They talked about Stag not answering the question "Is it made in the USA?" People have gathered that they are made in China. I read through the whole forum and it looks like the people who got one liked it, with a couple exceptions. Some people never got one shipped. Mostly they are all just pissed that Stag lied to them and told them they were made in the USA, and then wouldn't admit they weren't.

Yeah, it's weird. Charging handles are one of those products that seem to bring out some strange behavior in consumers even though the performance and feel of a knock off and a mid-level premium are hard to distinguish. And it's operation isn't a point that's likely to fail at a critical time and cause a life-threatening situation like, say, a gas tube. You never hear anyone freaking out about who makes their gas tube. Shit, no one even knows who it is that makes their gas tubes. It's because the gas tube isn't a visible part of their build that they can point to the logo on it and show how discriminating their good taste is.
