$420.99 for a bad idea.

What is the purpose of a short barrel Single Action two shot 22? Only reason to have this is if you plan on wrestling with one opponent on the ground and even then there are better options. Buy a 22 revolver if you must rely on a rimfire to protect your life. Better option is a 9mm revolver or even a 22 mag revolver if you have to rely on rimfire. More than two shots, fast follow up shot if you have a dud.

It's a two-shot $450 derringer - I doubt anyone is buying it as a rational choice for self-defense. Rather, I find myself interested in one (albeit 357 magnum) because of the historical pedigree of the derringer style, as a novelty, and because of the use of similar models in movies I like. The automotive equivalent would be buying a Tuk Tuk just for the lols.

I won't be buying one. But, not all people buy guns for self defense, or any other logical purpose. Sometimes they buy guns because they are fun or unique. If you are into firearms long enough, you'll likely wind up with some. Some purchase 22LR versions of guns they have in larger calibers for fun or budget training.
