Expanded, exterior, bearing surfaces are hand polished and ensure precise alignment in upper receiver for less wear.

So, they know it will precisely align in not only my upper but yours too ?????

Marketing BS
It might be pretty, but stainless really doesn't play well with aluminum.
Would have been better off making it from M2 or VascoWear steel.......
oh wait...
That would mean someone would know shit and worry about quality of product instead of marketing drivel and profit.

My bad

I think a lot of people tend to rate a product as if they are buying it with "their wallet" and not a prospective buyer. This bolt is twice as much as a standard 8620 bolt......but then again, that's because it isn't an 8620 bolt. This is basically a National Match Stainless Steel bolt.

PSA has a 8620 for $99, with no key....so make it $125.

So the question is, would you pay $100 more for a better material, better finish, less drag, and higher bearing surface?

That's the question you have to ask........

No, this is a slick deal site. The question to ask is 'is this really a deal, or just a standard price that happens to be in stock right now'.

Best Carrier/ BCG I've ran across. I have two of these JP makes grade A products.

$222 for just the carrier. No thanks. Stop the madness. Say no to the hype.

What happened in this country where we started believing paying more and getting less was something to rave about.

Ever notice how the more somebody spends on something the more they brag about it and talk about how much better it is?

I'm sorry, but from an engineering standpoint, wouldn't a 100% increase in "bearing surface" mean twice the friction? Wouldn't twice the friction mean twice the wear?? What really are we "bearing" here? The weight of the bolt carrier itself? What a joke.

This is marketing at it's finest. Buy up lambs, buy up.

Lets contribute all we can to the proliferation of the $2500 standard AR.

You should do research on a product before you downplay it. JP makes High end AR parts/rifles, not standard. I've had this carrier for over a year with plenty of rounds down range and it still looks new. Have you ever heard anyone say JP products are trash or not worth the price? If you want cheap buy cheap, if you want the best buy the best.

Do they fail less? Do they last longer? Do they work better? Are they made with any better materials that should cost twice the price of the next best or same material from another manufacturer?

If I lay 3 identical AR's on the table, the only difference between them is that ONE has a $300 JP BCG in it, CAN YA TELL ME WHICH ONE IT IS?..

Could ya? I know the answer. You couldn't. You wouldn't have a fucking clue. So really, what did you pay twice for?

Nothing remotely noticeable?

And why would you pay twice for that? So you can claim you have the best?

Like I said. I hear Starbucks just came out with a new $9 dollar cup of coffee.

I bet you'll like it.

edit: I subscribed to your theory about buying the best. I bought a $2400 LWRC SPR that doesn't shoot any more reliable or tighter grouping than a buddies M&P 15. Little did I know at the time the only thing I was paying for was to join an elitist group of douchebags. The JP crowd is feeling a little familiar. Am I in the LWRC forum?

I'm sorry but you don't know what your talking about Jp price always been that way and you get what you pay for .

lol.. love it. I know you do man, every red cent worth right? Big fan of the $7 dollar cup of coffee are ya?

The difference in reliability and performance between your $300 BCG and my $150 dollar is NIGHT & DAY.

After 1000k rounds or 10,000k rounds you will totally be able to tell the difference. Every bit.

You know what that real difference is?

It'll be that I'm running two guns because I bought twice as many as you did.

Wake up Bro. Pull the nuts outta yer mouth.

I tell ya what.. if there ever is a "zombie apocalypse", I know which zombies I'll be shooting at.

Damn nice bolt. I ordered one from Midway. The finish is like glass and yes it has twice the bearing surface as mil spec. Should lead to less wear on the bolt and upper receiver. It does not mention the gas key is properly staked.

pre-DiFi you could buy staked Nickel Boron BCG's for $200...

Read more about these JPs. They are ultra-high quality and the coating they out on them is arguably better than NiB.

Pretty expensive. I just got two in the mail yesterday from phase 5 tactical, for $158 ... for both!

I've never seen these carriers less than 189 for one. You got the deal of the century of it's really this exact model.

the phase5 is a stripped carrier, isnt it? by the time you get the parts it'll be up there in price. you'll still need the firing pin and those accessories. which arent exactly the cheapest parts right now.
(unless you already have them)
