FYI, the blem isn’t actually a blem, it’s the way the stock fits the receiver, the design is flawed and will walk loose on you after a while. Still not a big deal, you can grab a different stock for pretty cheap.

That's not 100% true. Mine had a blem on the receiver and my stock has never come loose.

Is this stock side folding?

Not on this model, it’s the Magpul fixed stock. The non-Blem Zhukov models have side folding stocks

Psa is a dime and dozen. Won't pay more than $400 for blem. What madness? Obama gun sales man got his job back? Are you another liberal Democrats supporter?

Be sure to post a link to those $400 AK’s when you find them. We would all love to see them.

Ain't ak used to sell for few hundred bucks. But due to stupidity of consumers' minds about political situation drive up the prices????? How many ak do you need in a lifetime? How many can you fire at one time? Buy for collection? That will be the dumbest move you ever made in your life!

I get what you’re saying, but regardless if the reason, the days of $400 AK’s are gone. Hell, SKS prices are slowly creeping into that range now days and I remember when they were $79 brand new. Add to the fact that there’s a presidential election coming in 2020 and I promise you prices are only going UP.

Sorry I don't padronize and support gun industry like Obama era. It's was madly stupid to spend 5 figures just because consumers stupidity in scarcity rumours. I will sit this out, only if it's absolute deal! Look at how much prices have fallen since Obama jackal left office. Obama is living in his $12million dollar mansion from all his salesmanship income and he is having his laughs!

If you DON’T think that now is the time to buy the majority of your AK/AR, you’re living in the same idealist utopian delusion as the radical left! Prices on most of these items are in a commodity state, which means that we’re living in a modern golden age of firearms. WHEN, not “if,” the next panic sets in, those who buy now and adequately stock up will be able to take extreme advantage of the current pricing state and others’ unpreparedness.

Think what you want, but it doesn’t make you right.

5 figures? You mean 4? 5 figures would be $10,000 at the least. Get a Barrett 50 BMG for not much more. But, although it'd be fun to shoot, who the hell needs that lol

I think I paid $540 for mine a year ago. It gets shot more than all the rest because I don’t care about selling it one day. It’s a shooter. Also for this price I’m nit worrying about a chrome lines barrel. Who’s talking about corrosive ammo? Lol. Wtf? No need to buy that stuff with non corrosive so cheap.

Yes psa is easing process a bit.. wait until 2020 when the madness starts!

What ever happened to free shipping?

PSA has raised prices and taken away free shipping on dozens of their products recently. It's bad enough it is turning a lot of us frequently visited PSA's site away from PSA. I purchased this exact same PSA AK-47 for $499.99 plus tax with free shipping on 5/31/19. All in $534.99 plus $10 FFL Fee.

Wish I could find FFL Trans fee for $10! So no background tax of $10, how'd you swing that?

Agreed. Prices have been steadily increasing there on a number of items. I had to unsubscribe from their emails due to the spamming of non-sale "sales" where everything was being advertised at the normal price.

I definitely feel like PSA is coasting on their reputation.

No, IMHO their quality has IMPROVED IMMENSELY. You remember the days when guns were dirt cheap. So was the quality. This year they are coming out a CHF, CL barrel that is FORGED on their 7.26x39, they are coming out with a 5.56 and a 5.45x39....I couldn't be happier that the AK lives. I'm mostly an AR, Knights, Scar, HK, Arsenal, VEPR guy (bought em when I could get em), but we need manufacturers in the US that produce affordable but quality AK's at reasonable prices so that the hobby doesn't die. As long WE ALL DO OUR PART AND VOTE EVERY SINGLE ELECTION FOR PRO GUN CANDIDATES OUR FUTURE WILL BE SAFE. LOOK WHATS HAPPENING IN VAGINA....THAT'S RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER THE NEXT TIME A DUMMYTURD WINS THE WHITE HOUSE.

I guess for me "the days when guns were dirt cheap" from PSA was only about a year before I made my post. That was when I bought a basic bitch complete nitrided Freedom AR kit minus lower for $260 with free shipping- and the quality seemed fine. When I made my first post, 7 months ago, they were around $299 plus no more free shipping. Now they are $399 (but free shipping is back- yay). I get that some of this is the standard COVID price gouging, but not when I made my original post. Pre-Corona I watched their PMag prices steadily rise to the point where they were never the cheapest on the net- even when they had sales and bundles.

Gun shipped to me In Oregon in a week and 1 day. Pretty quick in my opinion. It's in really nice shape, the only blem I can find is tiny little pea size marks. Haven't shot it yet unfortunately but just wanted to come back and let everyone know that it looks amazing and functions perfectly fine so far.

Nice not to have to pay USER TAX! Miss living in Oregon. Curious if it takes 2 weeks for you to get it, PSA has super slow shipping!

I picked one up for $499 awhile back. I couldn’t find a blemish anywhere on it. I’ve only had the chance to run 160 rounds of Tula through it so far, but it has been 100% reliable and slings the empty cases into the next area code. No big deal since I didn’t want that steel stuff anyway.

Welp, just picked this up at 529.99 on July 8th without free shipping. Unfortunately, that's not within PSA's 24-hour price match guarantee, so I don't expect them to honor the price difference - even though I still asked. $499.99 including shipping is a killer price for this rifle. Get it while they have stock on hand and it's at this price.

PSA didn’t step up and provide the discounted price match and free shipping, but the Norton Shopping Guarantee did pony up the $30 difference. Probably nitpicking, but I also paid tax on that $30 and I didn’t get that back. Something is better than nothing, I guess...

It's a good thing I read the comments because I forgot about the Norton Shopping Guarantee. Every time it pops up I ignore it because I keep thinking it's shipping protection.
Thanks

The real ones where chrome lined bores because they used corrosive ammo which stores well forever.

I've wanted one for a while but two things. First, no chrome lined barrel, which for the ammo (steel case of mass produced quality in Russian factories) does seem to make a noticeable difference in barrel life. Not sure on exact impact, but generally not a positive for the purpose of this rifle. Second, just how well is everything made? As much as I dislike Century Arms, the WASR is ugly and rough but tough and generally reliable (and the most direct legit competition). I haven't seen a 10k or 20k round review. If I could find a 10k review with good results, I'd be much more interested. However, I feel that PSA is getting closer to a well made American AK.

You know these have a lifetime warranty right? Century arms only gives you one year.

I don't think a shot out barrel would qualify for the replacement clause. Hence the desire for chrome lined barrels.

These barrels are nitro treated and hold much better groups than any chrome lined barrels. AKOU did a 5k test consisting mostly of mag dumps without cleaning and at 5k rounds these barrels were still getting 2.5 MOA while steaming hot. If you've got enough money to burn out one of these barrels, which will probably never happen, you've got enough to get the rifle re-barreled. I think PSA as a winner with this one. The one I received is about a million times nicer than any Century made gun I have ever seen.

Finally got one. Signed up for the notifications on 2 different emails and nothing. Keep checking back with PSA often if you are looking for this... seem to go fast. I’ve been happy with my 1st gen PSAK47 so far but it has a low round count since I wasn’t thrilled about cast trunnions and carriers, that’s why I’ve wanted this model since I saw it.

Look on the bright side, if anything ever fails in your Gen 1 they'll undoubtedly replace the part with a Gen 3 part.
