For what you are getting, this is a fantastic value. I wish I had waited for this before I built my AR308, I would have saved a couple hundred $ from the Kies set. But the Kies is well made, so I can't complain about quality. The Black Rain NIBx 308 bolt carrier group and other BRO parts I have used are a little pricey but are excellent quality.

Why are these good? Seems expensive but I don't know much about the differences in components.

its pricey because fewer companies make 308 lowers / sets, and the compatibility issues as well. but primarily because companies like black rain like raping people. absolutely raping your wallet. decent stuff but not worth half what they sell it for. do yourself a favor and find a more discounted set.

#1, It's a precision billet matched set for 308, which is pricey to begin with. The price of a block of raw material goes up substantially when you have to start with a much larger block. You generally cannot swap uppers/lowers between various manufacturers like you can with AR15's. Even if the unit is compatible with; say "DPMS", you need to find out things like if it is a "high profile rail" or "low profile railed" system before sourcing a foregrip. They dedicate books to this. I recommend starting at AR308.com. AR308's do not share the same industry standards based on common specs like an AR15. It takes a lot more sourcing to make sure what you are getting is compatible with the system you have in mind.
