The “C” stands for constant action trigger - a reference to the trigger operating the same way for every shot. There is no traditional double action pull for the first round followed by single action for the remainder of the shots.

I purchased one of the but the "F" not the "C" Shipping label was created in about 2 hours, but it didn't ship for another 2 or 3 days. I will get it in a day or 2 so a little over a week to get. That's ok. But I paid $400 for it and for another $35 you could have got the "F" 45 with night sights. Really disappointed because I see they use to have the PX4 with night sights for $435. Wish I could have got that!

OVER ALL THOUGH $400 FOR THIS PISTOL WITH A $75 REBATE. KILLER DEAL. And if you like the 40 cal ( I personally don't see a need for it when I have a 9mm and a 45 acp) that's even a better deal at $350 with $75 mail in rebate!

Type C's do not have the decker/safety levers (the picture is wrong). It also does not have the external hammer either. The only safety is the trigger so it is a long trigger pull. The hammer acts more like a 1911 hammer, only single action. I really like that it does not has the safety lever wings that hurt your hands when racking the slide.

Type C is "constant action trigger" only so double action only. No single action/double action and no decocking.
