If you want a transferrable sub machine gun, look into the Cobray M11/9 (Lage Manufacturing makes some sweet products to bring the M11/9 into the 21st century). It is one of the cheapest yet still expensive ways to purchase a machine gun. They are now running $8-9K vs $35K for a M-16 or $40-45K for a MP-5.

The only subgun I want.

If is a dealer sample, im pretty sure civilians cannot buy this. It can only be transferred to a class III dealer and not civilians. Thats why is so cheap.

Correct. Anything manufactured after '86 can't enter the civilian market. If there ever was a reason to get a class III, it's be this.

The vast majority of m12s were made long before 1986. There has to be a bunch that came into the country between 1959-86....

Not sure what your point is, but this particular one was post '86 ban, hence the class III and it's price.

Not that I'd pass on any sub under the right conditions, but I'd much rather have an MP5.

Yes a "civilian" can own this. Become a class III dealer, isn't hard (about the same as getting your FFL) and lots of people do it so they can own class III weapons. Bonus points for becoming a manufacturer so you can convert weapons all day long.

The more you know, the more you grow.

Ffs you childish moron, you know what we mean. Not being able to sell a firearm to the majority of the law abiding populous at will doesn't exactly make it standard issue now does it?

I know what you meant; a completely inaccurate statement that might misled other people (even if by accident). Getting your Class III is actually pretty easy if you are also a FFL....something that a "majority of the law abiding populous" can do if they feel so inclined to filling out a few forms and have no criminal record. About the same difficulty as getting a NFA item...guess no "civilians" can own a suppressor according to you?

Lesson: if you don't understand a topic, STFU.

If you knew what I meant then you know I was referring to civilians as people not typically engaged in the business of firearms, hence my reference to a class III. You want to bore on semantics, but it doesn't change the validity of that concept. I like how you seem to think that everyone and their brother has an FFL and wants the bother of the extra scrutiny of the ATF. With the other NFA items it's a one time process and you're not likely to see any follow up post completion. Assuming you can keep from doing something stupid.

Lesson: Maybe if you weren't such an asshole people might like you better.

-If you knew what I meant then you know I was referring to civilians as people not typically engaged in the business of firearms,

So only non-civilians can get a CDL because people, by default, are not typically engaged in the business of driving tractor trailers? Obviously I am dumbing this down but only so you can (hopefully) keep up. According to you a "majority of the law abiding populous" would be the requirement and a "majority of the law abiding populous" can get a Class III if they choose.

-You want to bore on semantics

"Semantics" is the discussion or argument of the meaning of a word or phrase, you completely misrepresented the situation. HUGE difference.

-I like how you seem to think that everyone and their brother has an FFL and wants the bother of the extra scrutiny of the ATF. With the other NFA items it's a one time process and you're not likely to see any follow up post completion. Assuming you can keep from doing something stupid.

Do an FFL search around you, you'd be surprised how many people are running an FFL out of their garage...and legally. Some people are willing to deal with the ATF and others are not. Not sure if you had a point?

-Lesson: Maybe if you weren't such an asshole people might like you better.

Not too worried that an ignorant troll such as yourself who does not like me. I am not loosing much in the way of company and I know I am doing something right ;)

Woohoo I swear man you get off by trolling this site always looking to start some childish, ignorant argument with just about anyone and everyone whos willing to "bite" on you bullshit. For gods sake this is supposed to be a "gun deal" site for posting good deals on ammo, guns and accessories. Not some sort of drama room for arguing politics, making personal attacks, and honestly arguing whos dick is bigger. It seems that about all you do here. Do you troll this site all day and night looking for someone to argue with, belittle, harass, and truthfully make a fool of yourself. Id love to know how old you actually are. By the looks of your posts, my guess your a 20-25 year old, anti social, Immature turd living in your moms basement and pounding your little pud in between eating the grill cheese sandwiches mommy brings you. Am I close?. I tried to not stoop to your level buy childish, stupid comments deserve childish, stupid comments. Please just take your crap somewhere else. I can almost garauntee I speak with MANY more members. We work hard, take care of our responsibilities and simply use this site to possibly find a good deal and "take a break" from all our hard work, stress and daily chores.... so again your doing nothing but making yourself look a fool and disturbing thoseof us seeking a few minute reprieve.

It's a turn of phrase you dolt. Anybody with greater than 4th grade reading compression should have been able to understand it. Hell, even you managed to get it. The clarification was pretty god damn obvious with the reference to a class 3. You obviously have no idea what hyperbole is.

There are roughly 140k FFL's in the US and if those all owned by individuals then around .04% of the population of the population would have one. Want to go by geography and that's about one for every 27 square miles, that's not exactly around every corner. That also includes the 5 other types of licences that can't buy this. So no, that doesn't exactly make class 3's abundant among the populous. There's probably something that's keeping the vast majority of individuals in the US from getting one if all it takes are a couple forms, $300, and a clean record. Might be the open invitation for the ATF to inspect your home or business on a yearly basis sans warrant. Haven't done a poll to see what the common consensus is, but I'm going to guess that ranks pretty high given the average gun owners opinion of alphabet bois.

If being an asshole on the internet was a paying gig you could have retired years ago. It's obvious that you just come on here to start fights and not actually try to help anyone or cause positive change. There was a time when I gave you pause because you occasionally had a valid point, now I just realize that you're a regular old troll that gets off on antagonizing people.

I read until "hell" then stopped after realizing that I had surpassed your LIMITED level of comprehension. I am sorry for confusing you, also for mistaking your online presence for that of an adult. Please ask your mommy or daddy to explain what I wrote and pen a coherent reply.

Yep, as usual you don't actually want to debate because you know you're full of shit. No surprises here.

Fuck it. If "civilian" used in the context I used it in confuses you, no, you should not be allowed to own an NFA item, nor any other firearm. If you're that fucking stupid, plastic spoons are too dangerous for you.

"Yep, as usual you don't actually want to debate because you know you're full of shit. No surprises here."

I don't debate with rambling "civilians" nor do I have the time or care to read seven paragraphs of insults that sound like you are describing yourself. BTW, screaming names on the internet does not count as a "debate."

And back with the insults. Thanks for showing, yet again, I am not dealing with an adult.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Getting a FFL is not just a federal thing.
Some places require local approval also which means county sheriff and possibly city council to sign off on it.
Damn near 40 years ago my yearly FFL fees were in excess of $650 in California, and rising fast.
Was a Democrap prez ?, damn right. Do I live in Cali now ?, hell no.
{edit}
I guess I should add that the fees *were* $35 a year in Cali when I first got my FFL, it went to $660 literally overnight at one point and I have no idea what they pay out there now....kinda don't want to know.

So a democratic president raised the FFL fees in exactly one state?

"Something does not add up"....did I stutter?

So you are suggesting a US President passed a state specific fee or tax?

No, you are.
Why are you doing that ?, probably best to ask yourself.
As I said, comprehension issues are obviously rampant.

WooHoo2You, are you a licensee? You left out a few steps. Plus the costs. And if you’re an 01/03, then you also need a demo letter. Not as easy as you make it out to be.

This is an NFA item.

I could get a lot more tactical bang for the buck than this POS for $7000! You could buy 16 Extar EP-9s for that price.

It's class 5, full auto.
The price is actually very low for what it is.
Check on gun broker or where ever.

The price is good, but you still have to be a vendor to own it. I'd love to, but prefer not having a roto rooter rectal exam by the atf every year. "I think I can see his tonsils from back here".

looks like something from die hard. at that price it should at least come with a cup holder
