  • The Beretta 92FS is one of the most iconic pistols out there. This pistol is a great addition to a collection or a great pistol to carry overall. This full-sized pistol comes standard with 15+1 magazine, which is comparable to a lot of other full-sized pistols. It is a very accurate and comfortable shot which makes it a great pistol to learn on if you are just starting out or if you are trying to teach someone who is new. It also offers an ambidextrous safety selector and a very reliable decock function. The only downside to the 92FS is that it is slightly dated in terms of features. For similar money, you can buy a comparable 9mm with more features like a threaded barrel or it being optic ready. Overall it is a great option and a good shot!

This is a great price for a top quality pistol. When I see this and then look at what Glocks and other "high end" poly framed pistols are listed and/or selling for I have to roll my eyes.

I’m ready to buy a 92FS right now, new, for $428 as the gun. deals listing says, but don’t see how to make this work. It says ‘price match’, but to do so you have to join some ‘club’, and then come up with another vendor selling for $428.

    Where is that?

I could just buy it there if I knew where it was, haha, so it’s not a deal.

You have to register with gunprime (it’s free)
Then when logged in you must add 428 to the price match area and write gun.deals in the url area

    Interesting, thx.

Surprisingly? my ardor to buy immediately has cooledin the past few days, on to bills and such. But now I know the mechanism and the sale will go thru the next time.

Looking at a TP9 SFx vs. 75b / SP01. Still wish the 97b was back on the market, or better yet, that CZ came out with a 75 version in 10mm...that would be pretty amazing.

For fans, like myself, of the Beretta 92. I've been looking for Police Trad-ins, haven't been lucky thus far.

Are you talking about the imported 92S models from Italy? I picked up one and it's as smooth as glass. It takes the heel release magazines though but they are available from Beretta and probably many online sites.

Sorry should have been more specific! No, I already bought (2) from Classic Con and Ben-occhio for $279 ea. last year. They were beat to shit, dirty and chimps had disassembled them at sometime during their life and didn't have a clue about how to disassemble or reassemble them!

I'm looking for any model with the "American" mag release. Thanks for replying though!!!

Pics of the turds Classic Con and Ben-occhio touted as Good / Very Good .... I got Fair at best. Sad thing is SOG was selling them6 months later for $200ea and then had them for $189ea if you bought 2 or more.

Being a full size metal frame/slide it isn't light weight or compact. It isn't intended to be a tiny tuck away concealed gun and to compare it to those in that role is apples and oranges. It's a duty weapon and is excellent in that role. The "plastic" parts are the guide rod, trigger is steel/plastic coated, magazine release, lanyard loop/hammer spring cup, grips. Amazing how someone will knock this pistol for it's small amount of plastic yet be perfectly fine with all the polymer striker fired pistols being plastic. I've been owning and shooting 92 series forever and never had any issues with them.

Can always do what I did and buy the steel replacement parts kit directly from beretta and toss a custom tune spring kit from Wilson combat in it while you're at it for less than 100 bucks...

It's large for CCW but for a duty weapon it would serve its purpose as good as gun made today. The only downside to a modern 92 is the weight.

I know many people who served and carried one over the years and still prefer it. Nothing wrong with this excellent and well proven platform.

They do have a few small parts that are polymer and a few that are polymer coated but they have been that way for many years and have proven to be just as reliable.

Bought the same handgun from the same seller six months ago for $429.00 with free shipping. Gun had a very minor blemish on the barrel not to where I needed to send the gun back but other then that brand new and great customer service.

Over 20 years ago I bought my first pistol, still have it, it’s a Beretta 92fs Centurion in 9mm, at the time I paid around $550+ only plastic parts are the grip plates, nowadays I have heard that some internal parts are plastic, so do your homework

Thank you for posting this deal. Mine arrived today and brought back a lot of memories. Not sure about the post about how much plastic this thing has for the money (not questioning the post, mine was a metal guide etc). Gunprime DID NOT have a way for me to check status but did a GREAT JOB notifying me when it was shipping and everything there after (I like to check status on website even to see nothing has happened). Great firearm that shoots to the right (its me not the gun, bigger grip than I remember) and I only put 100 through today and need to break in. Amazing Price, 100 more than Taurus which I still may buy. Yes I am lame (engineer its okay) but I haven't been this excited to collect a gun in years. Thank you Hank Grimer!!! and Semper Fidelis

Six years USMC, Iraq and Afghanistan.... I ordered one yesterday. Much like a Colt M16A2 I wish I could find, I'd like to actually have one that every person issued before me hasn't beat to hell.

Don’t get me wrong I want one also . For a range gun and because it’s a collectors item to me ..but no way I would use this as a ccw or duty weapon PERIOD

Classic firearms have the old military m9s for 299 , for all you losers who couldn’t join the military but constantly talk about how this weapon served this country well. Now you can see why anybody who HAD to carry it doesn’t prefer it

The "bad reputation" the 92fs "has" stems from long lines of sergeant shitheads and private dumbfucks beating the absolute shit out of their equipment and never doing any basic maintenence on their pistols whatsoever. Then they (and the next guy in line) wonder why their sidearms dont function reliably.......at the same time i can get a 20+ year old st louis police trade in 92fs on gunbroker for $350, pick it up at my FFL take it home and the slide still racks smooth as butter and run 400 rounds through it without a hitch.......hmmmm......

Mixed feelings on the M9. Failed me in a firefight but still more reliable than the Colt M45 it was replaced with....

Great Deal. Placed my order and received the pistol 48 hours later via 2-Day express air.

This is a very accurate, high quality pistol. If it does not meet your "needs", then you must be pretty needy. Lots of options to upgrade, and a nice .22 conversion kit if you need to train a bit. Every ammo I have run through the firearm has cycled well and proved to be plenty accurate. Pure pleasure to shoot this full size 9mm.

No disrespect intended but I don't get the 22 conversion. I welcome being enlightened but its going to kick different and you can buy range time and ammo with the price of the conversion kit. I am not a serious shooter in advance but would appreciate any incite on this. Thanks,

Good price on a gun with a military history.
It's been around in one form or another for a long time, and ~some~ aftermarket parts are available.
One potential caveat is the front sight is cast into the slide, (Not easily changed)
Just like some folks prefer (enter your favorite Manufacturer here) I prefer Beretta, mostly due to the 'feel' and a desire for hammer-fired.
Was considering one of these several months ago when the best price I could find was ~5 Ben~. Nice to see 'em getting closer to 4,,,

    As always, YMMV

Trying to read these comments hurts. Please use proper grammar, spelling, and quit hating. I'm a gun enthusiast who really enjoys the design and handling of the 1911, but I don't hate the Glocks just because I love 1911's. I've shot the little 9mm Glocks before and they were tack drivers. Really impressed. The keyboard warriors can chill out. Your argument means nothing, really. To many people, so long as a gun goes bang every time, that's all that matters. Design-wise, the Beretta 92's are beautiful, the Glocks are boring, the 1911's are time-tested and full of safeties and have unique triggers. My first gun was a Colt Gold Cup Trophy. I had a good 15 years or so to think about what I wanted my first gun to be, and it was between that and a Garand.

All in all, try not to let that disliking for certain things and people who buy those things fester, because it ultimately turns you into a hater. That said, I've come to hate Subaru and their vape-smoking drivers alot less these days because I recognize the issue and did something about it.

Regarding this Beretta though, we've all heard lousy things about their reliability; I haven't fired one yet; I've only owned a gas powered airsoft version of it, and by that I can say I love the design, handling, and the way it feels in the palm with a contoured Hogue grip. However, I could totally see someone's thumb-webbing getting caught in the breech if you're not careful about cocking it. It's a pretty gun to have at the range. Can't comment on reliability, but I hope to someday.

    2 votes

I have no idea what the point of that was, I'm hoping it's sarcasm I didn't catch? The 92 has decades of service in the military, I would argue it's just as (if not more) reliable that any other gun from its design period.

It's very shootable by most folks, due to the heavy weight relative to the 9mm recoil. The long sight radius makes aiming pretty easy, and it's not too difficult to get good accuracy from these guns. I've shot many that are beat up frankenguns while in the military, and have never really had a complaint. No, it's not a Glock 17, but it's comparable to a Sig 226 or CZ75.

Lol glock didn’t replace nothing. The Betetta M9 and 1911 are legacy guns that have served this country in various wars. Do your homework before commenting. It was the sig. also the m9 replaced the 1911, that doesn’t make the 1911 any less better.

I'm not that much of a Sig fan either I'm a 1911 guy... cuz I said before in another comment thread when I got my door kicked in bar by Darnell when his buddies were trying to break into my car I clocked it and fucking save my ass my GI 1911 Rock Island ID also have a Colt commander in a few others my point is my 1911 never let me down

Just got my first Beretta 92 a couple months ago. Shoot just like any other Beretta- well. But I was a little disappointed with how many plastic parts they have on them now. Yes it does allow them to offer a great gun at a lower cost, but it also feels like the airsoft replica I used to own.
