The Beretta 92 FS semi-automatic pistol operates on a short recoil, delayed blowback system, leading to faster cycle times, exceptional accuracy, and greater reliability. The chrome-lined barrel provides extreme corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning, and the deeply-recessed combat muzzle crown protects the rifling. The open top slide virtually eliminates jamming and stove piping and allows one cartridge at a time to be loaded should the magazine be lost or damaged. The rear sight is designed to provide a front projection so that in an emergency, the user may retract the slide single-handedly by pushing the rear sight against the edge of a table or door. Beretta's exclusive Bruniton non-reflective black coating is a superior corrosion and wear-resistant finish, and the reversible magazine release is positioned next to the trigger guard for either right or left-handed shooters, allowing rapid reloading. The 92 FS pistol is the most tested and trusted personal defense weapon in history, and this model is made in Italy.

  • The Beretta 92FS is one of the most iconic pistols out there. This pistol is a great addition to a collection or a great pistol to carry overall. This full-sized pistol comes standard with 15+1 magazine, which is comparable to a lot of other full-sized pistols. It is a very accurate and comfortable shot which makes it a great pistol to learn on if you are just starting out or if you are trying to teach someone who is new. It also offers an ambidextrous safety selector and a very reliable decock function. The only downside to the 92FS is that it is slightly dated in terms of features. For similar money, you can buy a comparable 9mm with more features like a threaded barrel or it being optic ready. Overall it is a great option and a good shot!

These are well made pistols but shoot it handle one first. They don't fit everyone's grip.
They shoot well and are accurate though.

This is a da/sa hammer fired pistol. This is one of the most time tested sidearms in history. Everyone needs one in their collection if possible. I'm a Sig guy but love my 92fs as well. Look at the back of the firearm just above and to the right of the safety and you'll see the hammer.

I like the fact that it's got a good name and made in Italy but what boils down too me is if it's striker or hammer fired as I own striker fired

Still overpriced. I bought a INOX 92FS and sold it after 3 months of ownership. I love the way they look. That's about it.

How much did you paid for the inox one?

It was made in Italy, with factory Trijicon night sights and 3 mags for $550.

    It was on Gunbroker.

Wow, you had a great deal then. The lowest price i found is on Grabagun @ $614+ $5.99 shipping. I want to buy one but like to see if any others offer lower than this price.

My guess is it's probably because these have been as low as $499 brand new fairly recently. Maybe because of the Taurus having an arguably better design as well, who knows.

Personally I do prefer the frame mounted safety/decocker on the Taurus. It's actually the original Beretta design anyway, but the Taurus added decocker feature is cool too. The Berettas are definitely the better finished gun imo. But design trumps smoother finish in this case for me. I've also heard Beretta is starting to use plastic in places Taurus still uses steel (like guide rods) but I don't know if that's true.

Anyways, this is certainly a good price for a "likely good quality" used gun. Maybe not a 5 star deal, but I doubt anyone would regret the purchase.

The down votes are ridiculous... I cant understand it either. At this price point, good luck trying to find any better deal than this one. I'm in!

it probably has more to do with the vendor than the product. j&g is capable of providing a good deal, they are also capable of some shady business practices.

I have never had a problem with J&G, care to elaborate?

if you have an hour to waste type j&g sales problems into google.

I guess others would rather pay 450-500 for a Taurus PT92 just because of the frame mounted safety/decocker and the rail? I would much rather have a 92fs for a 120 cheaper price point.

Why all the down votes? How is this not a deal?

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing. 329 for a used 92 is not considered a good price?

I would like to someday own a Beretta 92. Which is the most desirable model?

That is like asking who is the best NFL team. People love them...people hate them. I love mine. 92A1 - Internal recoil buffer - 3 17rd mags. Rail for a strobe or other accessories. Well balanced. My best pistol in 9mm caliber. Never jams and can fire anything with ease.
