sorry but im not paying for the extra tax stamps and waiting forever for approval over a 2" barrel difference. 16" vs. 14" with an extra $200 fee and up to year long wait? nope...

I'm with you on this. More money for a shotgun that cost less to manufacture then an 18" version. This shotgun only fits a narrow use spectrum. Basically home defense and nothing more. At least with the 18" version you can use slugs to hunt deer and aren't limited to only they state you reside. Don't get me wrong. This would be an awesome piece to have in a collection but if you are looking for something to serve multiple roles, this definitely is not the shotgun for that.

The usual legal barrel length for a shotgun is 18" and 18"-14" = 4". However, if you don't want the shotgun my suggestion would be to not buy it.

My point back then was 16" is considered non nfa. I don't give a crap what lengths do and do not come stock on a shotgun. Besides that I've had a 16" barrel shotgun. Was an old 870 someone cut. So yeah 2"... You should know that length yeah? Look in a mirror pal. Lol

The usual length for a real shotgun is 22" to 28" and quite a few are 30-32".
I know, I've run a large hunting lodge for upland bird...you might say there were a few shotguns involved.
This is honestly a very good price for ANYTHING with the Benelli name on it.
This model is made for cops breaching the doors off a house, it's not made for hunting or anything else.
Could be why they even named it ENTRY....doh!

I own a wood-stocked, 12 gauge, bolt action, mag fed Marlin model 55 marked "The Original Goose Gun" with a 36" full choke barrel. Quite a handful. Definitely not made for breaching a door and clearing a house. :)
