Bear Creek has extremely poor quality control. The first one I purchased was decent quality but the second one was extremely poor quality. Parts were made in China and there were three different colors.
When I contacted Classic they were extremely rude and refused to exchange the poor quality AR instead requiring me to pay to ship the gun back and subtracted the original shipping cost from the refund. Classic post massive positive reviews on the BBB website to make it appear they receive more positive than negative reviews.
It is my opinion that a business that treats repeat customers poorly, uses deceptive advertising to sell defective products is not someone you give your business to. There are plenty of name brand AR''s in the same price range that are not made out of Chinese and other low bidder parts to not have to buy from Classic. It's your money but if your looking to deal with a reputable company with reputable products buy from any of the name brand that stand behind their name and product.

I bought one of their complete (including BCG) 7.62x.39 uppers for $200 for shooting cheap steel ammo. Put it on a Spikes lower I had and installed a heavier hammer spring and use CPD mags. It shoots fine. It has become my truck gun.

I bought another upper in 5.56 for the same price and put it on a Anderson lower I put together for a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law. Took it out and sighted it in last weekend. Performed as expected. It will make a great entry level AR for him and I only have about $350 into it.

Both arrived with dull looking bores, but after a quick cleaning they look and shoot fine. Maybe I got lucky, hardly what I would call junk. Just cheap no frills uppers. I am satisfied enough, I am thinking about getting one of their side charging 5R Grendel uppers for building a cheap longer range shooting gun.

I have bought a BCA, Anderson am15, and a ruger ar556... Ruger fit and finish / furniture was nice. As for operations. They are all eqaul. I would say in terms of astetics,. Ruger, BCA, then Anderson. If you want a mean looking black rifle... The BCA is that. Shoots perfect... And my BCA is in 7.62 so that's saying something... As far as rust in the chamber??? I saw this post before I ever fired mine and checked it out really good it had three steel casings in a little ziplock bag. And I looked down the barrel and in chamber with my bore light and I saw it was the dirtiest filthiest looking brand new gun yet... As soon as I cleaned it really well with solvent, a brush followed with oil, it sure was clean and pretty, rust free and the next day it shot perfect many hundreds of rounds. cleaned it again and fired it every few days since.

BCA Sells junk, The two Uppers I bought both have Heavy rust throughout the Chamber and the barrel, Very rust pitted in the chamber! Total JUNK! And they ignore you when you try getting an RMA Or even try contacting them! SHIT Company! They even say right on every page of an upper or rifle (BCA does not recommend using any Steel case ammo) But they send the upper with a so called shot Casing and its STEEL case! What bull. On top of that the casing tag says it was shot right before shipping, But you can see the Rust in the chamber and barrel has been there for far longer then that! So they even lie about when they test shoot it!

Why when the sport 2 or Ruger are out there?

If they manufacture to AIM 9009 or ISO standards there should be no issues with this rifle as is. Every factory that builds to those standards has a QA or quality assurance program with on site inspectors, yet now and then a flaw can still slip through even those with the best reputations. I haven't owned one of these, but there are only a half dozen or so companies in the U.S. making AR15 receivers that the manufacturers large and small buy and put their logo on.

If they actually build to the standards listed this should be just an average AR15 for a beginner or to stuff away in a safe for emergency purposes. The chrome lined bolt carrier is a great thing to have for lubricity. I see too many expensive bolt carriers online with special coatings when factory Colt, Bushmaster and other military purchased systems don't use them, nor do law enforcement agencies and they seem to run just fine. That being said, if money is no object, I would go with Noeveske or another company that does in house machine work for a gun that will last several generations.

Several thousand round. Please total BS. I work at a range and they usually dont go through the first mag. Total bull crap. I bet you never shot several, thousand of rounds in your life. Oh yes it was cheapo Russian steel also

I know very little about these and have only shot 1, until recently I worked at a range too, and I always I love the guys that tell that me 5k rnds a year is "high volume"...
but I did have regular customers that easily went thru 1k a week, every week, regardless of weather but they didn't shoot bearcreek AR's...

I own 2 BCAs ....one complete and an upper. Never a single issue with either after several thousand rounds. Dunno about any 'rebranding' or made in china stuff...They have an awful lot of CNC and barrel drilling machines at the factory to be wasting time with that . Ive owned many rifles from a wide variety of manufactures. Some models they sell are quality entry level and some are much nicer. Stop trolling

This gun is 6.3LB without Mag, not 5.8LB.

I got one on 25th Dec. 2016. This weekend I went to range, so bad experience to shoot, everything is cheapest, never touch this brand again.

There is no free lunch. El cheapo Ar's are crap and as a gunsmith I wont ever take them in for repairs. Buy chink and regret it. Even low end USA AR's are serviceable and updateable. You get when you pay for. Spend a hundred bucks more and buy USA.

Do a little research yourself online. You'll quickly find out about this rebranded junk. Had such bad rep they had to change the name. Much better options available right now if you do a little research, or not....your money, spend as you like.

You get a hard case with this $500 AR and a cardboard box when you buy a $3000 SCAR

It is ridic that so many high end products don't come w/decent case or even a few mags anymore but don't think that the $10 case they throw in w/this rifle will ever make it comparable to a SCAR grade weapon. Sort of like lipstick (really cheap lipstick) on a pig.

And how bout that Wylde chamber with a 1:9 twist barrel? Who's the genius that put that together?

This is a $500 AR. Its basic. It will run just fine with whatever ammo you feed into it. To say it blows bigger name brands at about the same price out of the water is a stretch. It will however perform just as well as those comparable. Bear creek does offer a lifetime warranty. I owned one of these rifles and it was great for a starter AR. I never had a malfunction regardless of what i did with it.

On a side note, after I bought this rifle i ordered one of Bear Creeks Hybrid Ursid AR's. well.... like a moron i broke the tabs off the receiver ears trying to install an aluminum trigger guard and contacted Bear Creek for a replacement lower. they did nothing to help me out. i was even willing to pay for it i just wanted to make sure the cerakote matched with the rest of the gun. gave up after a few weeks of trying. this was a turn off in my opinion. i would be curious to see how well they honor their warranty after that experience.

$499 for a Bear Creek Arsenal AR is a fantastic price for a fantastic gun! This AR is incredibly light and, as owners have told me, incredibly accurate as well. Everything on it says, "Quality." You could not build a better AR for the price (nor find one to match it)

I picked one up in a store to get a feel for it, and nearly bought it for $200 more. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed. If I were in the market for one, I'd not miss out on this incredible deal. I thought the Del-Ton was the price leader in AR's, but this has it beat every which way but Sunday.

Sooooooo this blows PSA, the M&P Sport II, the Ruger 5.56, DPMS entry level, Amalite's entry level, Anderson's entry level, Windham's entry level, Radical Firearm's, and several other basic AR's out of the water? I can find all of those in near the same price range. What makes Bear Creek stand out in your mind? If you were close to paying $700 for this carbine, it must be exceptional. Right now I can find a Sig M400 in the $800 ish range, a Colt 6920 for $875, an S&W M&P piston for $750, and several other decent rifles in that price range.
Do you really think Bear Creek is the way to go? If you say "yes", I'll buy 3.

It's lighter than all the brands you mentioned and just as reliable.

PLUS, an average rating of 4.85 out of five from 145 reviewers is sick!

Also, the S&W and Ruger ARs come with rear sights and are ready to shoot out of the box.
