I do not own this particular rifle but I did build and own an AR rifle in the 7.62x39 caliber and I LOVE IT! it is by far my favorite AR rifle in my safe, and I currently have 9 of them. The ability of the much heavier 7.62x39 round is a blast (pun intended) to shoot. I chose this caliber because I wanted a .30 cal round but in a standard AR15 platform. One I could easily swap uppers from the 7.62 to a 5.56 with no extra equipment or parts. When this was first being done there was alot of complaint about reliability due to feeding and magazine issues. But over the years and tech research and testing the issue isn't an issue anymore really. If you use quality mags(I prefer ASC) and your rifle is well made or built then there shouldn't be any issues with reliability. The one thing I did and suggest is to buy a heavier, longer "enhanced" firing pin (I used an Anarchy Arms titanium enhanced firing pin). Especially if you are planning on shooting russian steel cased ammo due to the use of much harder primers. My rifle has never had a feeding or firing failure since the very first round to today and about the 1000 rounds I've put thru it. Recoil is quite a bit more than the 5.56 of course but adding a quality compensator definitely helps alot (I have a manticore brake). It's simply my opinion that I am sharing with some advice. Please respect my opinion and I will do the same.

Considering the way prices have been the last year $470 including shipping is not bad at all for this rifle. Pre Covid these were going for about $400 so prices are coming back.

Just buy the upper from BCA and a lower from PSA and even after shipping, tax, etc. you will save $100 or more.

Cheaper at bca. However prices are way higher than they used to be.
