i think at the bottom 'from other sellers' there are some for $50 but with the added shipping its not a great deal. I do own a set of these and use them all the time. Good little radio, just waiting for a better deal ~ Cheers!

We use these in country. Great radios. We slapped Trijicon stickers on them to feel all warm and fuzzy. ‘Merica!

I purchase these for use around my house and they have been well worth the money. Mine came with 6 radios, 6 base stations for recharging, six ear buds.

Here is what I have found. They work in my neighborhood up to about 1 mile. If you where in an open area you would get some more range. All radios come programmed to open channels that do not require a ham radio license. If you are a ham radio operator with a license you can program these to your channel and you are good to go. I have used them while working on the roof and basement with my son and found them very handy to have around.

Because they have base stations I just leave them charging ready to go all the time. The radios come with clips so it is easy to place on your belt or shirt.

Are these top of the line radios? Nope. But if you needed something for like vacation camping or say a cruise ship to communicate with the kids these would be a steal at this price.

I do not regret buying them and would do it again with no issues at all.

I have owned several sets of bofang's. They are great for what they are and actually hold out decent. You can get replacement antennas, belt clips and batteries on Amazon making repairs cheap and easy...or hell just throw it away for the price if it breaks.

Are they 50 a piece or 50 for all six? Sounds cheap for something like this... I have a set of 2 that ran close to 300 ....

$50 for all six, it's a screaming deal.

So you need a HAM radio license since they aren't FRS or Gmrs.

so... what is this thing classified as? it says 400-470mhz but 16 channels? what channels?.. It's not FRS or GMRS so what is it?

They are ham radios. They operate in the 70cm ham band. This particular model has 16 computer programmable channels to store your local repeaters, simplex frequencies, etc.

On one hand it has a li-ion battery which is nice.. but on the other hand AA is easier to swap out if you don't have power.
