This gun should cost around $800-900(retail price parts, dealers and manufacturers prices are much cheaper) if you can build it yourself. MSRP shouldn't be more than $1300. What a joke. One more thing, if I build 7.5" AR15, it must be chambered in 300 blackout ot 350 legend, for 223/556 the shortest I would go is 11.5 or 12.5

4" Maxim Brace Tube BCG Bundle in this thing retails for $600+ alone, sub 14" gun in 556 you can billed the same for $900. BS flag on the play.

You’re thinking of the standard Saint pistol. The Edge PDW has the fanci Maxim parts. For the PDW, msrp quotes from SHOT were $1599

I understand the previous comments. I also do not like the modern Springfield. I have built many perfectly functional PSA builds.

All that being said, if this like the Maxim PDX (they licensed the hate brake, BCG and brace), then this build is quite different. I own multiple shorty 7.62x39 ARs, they all recoil like crazy, and have massive fireballs.

The hate brake is essentially a mini-suppressor, giving you all the benefits of a suppressor except the reduction of the sound. It allows the system to be tuned down, because the back pressure and dwell time are increased significantly. I weighed my maxim pdx BCG vs a standard, it is 1.5 oz lighter, and felt recoil is close to half. So, the tuned system is quite valuable, and the $200 hate brake is the best short muzzle device.

The maxim is only a little more expensive, I would suggest looking into them. Currently trying to build a wannabe maxim pdx, although I am going to do a standard brace. Complete upper (I am buying all the individual parts) cost me $250, lower is $200, and the essential hate brake is about $200, so roughly $650, but it will be a longer system without the pdw brace.

Tldr: Overpriced, yes, but the system is very different than a standard AR.

The gas system design is part of the system that makes it work so well. The brace and BCG run $600. Nice looking and no work tracking down all the parts. This PDW is a nice package at a reasonable price. Haters just don't truly understand what in it and the value.

I could build this pre panic with quality parts for about $1000. So yes this is a rip off and Springfield has shown their true colors and won’t get any money from me. And for the record PSA is good to go. I have run 3 PSA builds all with 7k plus rounds and never had a problem. Yes I had to replace gas rings on a bolt or two but other than that they were fine. No they won’t shoot 1 moa but for the price and the reliability I’m ok with that.

Could you put a part list that would be close to $1000 please? I would want to build one for that cheap but don't know which parts to get that would equal that much. Thanks in advance.

$600 for the equivalent quality parts (not a PSA mix master POS) and a lifetime warranty on the firearm, not the original owner? Post a build sheet or STFU! Note: An SB3 is not a maxim brace. $50 BCA closeout tube is not a quality barrel, bubba.

Is this serious? $1600 for something you can build for $600?

Rather use rocks than give Springfield a dime.

Just built one like it for a third this price.

I'd rather have full size buffer tube with foldable SBA3.

Not me can't hold a folder up and move sideways through a door way for CQB. Have a full size with foldable and the PDW is way cooler.
