Description

FMK® Recon 9C1 G2 FAT 9mm Semi-automatic Pistol

It's not fat…it's FAT. As in, the Fast Action Trigger system, which makes for a quick, short trigger pull with no magazine safety to slow you down in self-defense scenarios. It's one of the finest triggers available in a pistol in this price range, but it's only a part of what makes the Recon such a sweet shooter.

It features a 4" stainless barrel that sits low in the frame, which helps reduce muzzle flip since recoil energy is directed back, not up. To deal with the little recoil that remains, FMK has outfitted the Pistol with a unique rubberized backstrap on the grip. This backstrap not only effectively reduces felt recoil, it also hugs and grips the palm of the shooting hand to provide positive traction. The result is a grip that molds to you.

I ordered one of these 8/16/2020 and they have backordered it 3 times on me, now expected to ship 12/30/2020. They have also done this with all the ammo I have selected to buy. I understand there has been a shortage and they don't charge your card till it ships, but here is the deal they sell memberships that they bait people in with these deals and that is just wrong. Maybe a Class Action Lawsuit should be filed.

I emailed them multiple times, i agree with you about the membership as i did mention that in all the emails i sent to the. Its been over a month now since i emailed and i haven't heard a single thing back from them as of yet. I'm canceling my membership with them. I tried ordering a holosun from them they changed the back order status twice since. That place is a joke. Everyone is having delayed shipping or shortages. Yet they always come through. If you haven't already check out bigdaddyunlimited.com their membership is well worth the money.

Anyone know of a place to get reasonably priced mags? $30 per mag on $200 gun seems a bit high.

Spring XD9 mags will work by cutting a slot for the FMK mag catch. I was able to get 20 and 30 round promags for roughly $20 or less and they have functioned perfectly in 2 different FMKs

These actually are a great buy. On par with the rest of the budget friendly pistols such as the Taurus G2&G3's, the lower end Rugers, Smith and wesson's,ETC. Much better than the crappy budget guns like SCCY, Hi point pistols, Jennings, Bryco, Jiminez, Raven, and so on... These particular pistols do have the factory recommended "Break in period" of 200 rounds. Personally I shoot that much just getting familiar with the handling and shooting characteristics anyhow. They may or may not have a few hiccups during this period but true to the factory statement they do become much more reliable and run well after that. Personally, Ive owned 3 of these, two new and one used I took in on trade. I had just a couple feed issues with on new one but figured out the mag needed a little adjustment. The rest ran fine. They feel somewhat "Glockish" in the handling and control. They are fairly accurate at combat range and are capable of ringing steel out to 75 yards with proper hold and an experienced shooter. Id say they are best for "Truck guns" or for Home defense. As far as a concealed carry weapon I would say if that you are only able to afford one of these then by all means go for it. If you can afford a little more there are probably a bit more trustworthy pistols on the market. But when it comes to price and value, this pistols gets an "A". They are comfortable and easy shooting as well. If your on the fence, just buy it!

Help me out you Legends... is this a good 9mm? I have several pistols and AR's, but I've never heard of this brand or gun. Worth the $200 or move on and buy a Sig/Glock/M&P etc.???

Use the extra 20 bucks from the Gunsngear code to get yourself a G19 recoil spring, throw out that weak one included. Now you got a nice American,
now functional glock clone for half the price. Don't forget to reread the constitution it comes with.

Leave the cry baby alone, the $15 processing fee might be taking money away from his Gerber baby food.

I was about to buy but the $15 "gun processing fee" is pissing me off. If you have fee (other than shipping) that applies to every item.... INCLUDE THAT IN THE PRICE.

Probably being petty.

Quit your crying baby. SG has always had a gun processing fee. Doesn't take much to 'piss you off' :D You should be shopping for BB guns at Walmart if you can't afford to pay $215 for a 9mm big boy.

"Probably being petty"
Glad you finally see it.

I can afford far more than you my friend, I just don't like when vendors try to sneak in a (almost) 10 percent charge for doing their job. How many gun stores to you know that charge a fee to conduct a firearm related transaction? While not unheard of for internet retailers it is quite the minority practice.

BTW, you don't value money being you clearly have no job. Whether it is the government or grandma, you are obviously being given everything.

P.S. what is your obsession with BB guns? Are you about to become old enough to buy your own??? Congratulations Timmy!
