Good luck getting them to honor life time warranty on this!

Get a garden shepards hook and hang a gong.

The 10" gong 1/2" AR500 steel will cost you $30-35 plus shipping. Add the hanging hardware and material for a stand of similar design and you're right at the price paid here. It isn't a bad deal at all.

The only problem is that this item is now out of stock and offered on backorder.

EDIT: Shortly after typing this review mentioning the item was on backorder I recieved notification from Cabelas that the item was back in stock and shipped. I got the target as promised and took it out to the range to give it a try. We only had 125yds of distance, but the target held up like a champ. It really is 1/2" AR500 steel. My 6.5 Creedmoor RPR put some slight dimples on the surface but nothing major. I'm going to enjoy shooting the hell out of this target. Bullet splatter does take the finish off the legs but other than that this thing is great!

Amazon has heavy duty (3/8" IIRC) sheperd's hooks in a 3-pack for under $20 delivered.

Where I go shoot (near logging roads outside of Vancouver, WA) the ground is very compacted. I broke a shepherds hook last month by attempting to pound it into the ground. So, unfortunately, they don't work for me.

Lifetime guarantee untill you ask to have something replaced. Then the excuse will be expected wear and tear, not covered due to the nature of the item or a discontinued product.

Just hang the gong on shepherd garden hooks from Lowes or HomeDepot for $8-$10!

Super easy!
