Hello Everyone. Sorry I'm late to the party here on the comments. Ruger Corporate signed off on these " Themed" guns. We are not using any copywrite or trade marked slogans or logos. These are simply themed guns in honor of the events. We hope that collectors will find these guns interesting and want to pick one up. I wanted to make sure that I acknowledged these comments. If anyone has any concerns they are welcome to text or call me directly and I will do my best to ensure all questions are answered or concern are addressed. I appreciate you guys leaving comments!

So it is implied that it is the Kentucky Derby because this rifle is not officially sanctioned by Churchill Downs and the use of Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs and the Churchill Downs logo would be trademark infringement.

That's what I suspect ..... and I think you stated it very well.

This could be any Derby this year. It doesn't read Kentucky Derby on the stock nor does it show the Twin Spires. I wonder why that is?

Of the Triple Crown races, the one in Kentucky is the only one known as a "Derby". The other two are "The Preakness Stakes" and "The Belmont Stakes". I see the roses and the bottle of bourbon etched into the stock of the rifle as a nod to the Kentucky Derby. Red roses are the official flower of the Kentucky Derby. The KD has long been referred to as "The Run for the Roses". And Kentucky is known for it's good bourbon whiskey, which is the main and most often sole alcohol ingredient in a 'Mint Julep', the signature drink of the Kentucky Derby.
