American Tactical has partnered with German arms manufacturer Schmeisser GmbH to exclusively import and distribute the Schmeisser S60 60 round AR-15 magazine.  Made from glass reinforced polymer, this patent-pending magazine features a unique follower system that allows for double capacity from a normal AR magazine without being bulky or cumbersome.  Designed to shoot both .223 REM & 5.56X45MM, the Schmeisser S60 will give you an instant capacity upgrade over the standard AR mag at an affordable price for your AR Carbine or Pistol.
Note:
The Schmeisser S60 was built specifically for .223REM or 5.56X45MM ammo only.  Schmeisser & American Tactical have found that the S60 may not operate with all types of .300 Blackout ammo.  Due to inconsistencies with different brands, Schmeisser does not recommend using 300 Blackout with this magazine.  Failure for the magazine to operate with 300 Blackout is not covered by American Tactical's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Warning! - High Tension Spring
The Schmeisser S60 has a very powerful high tension spring.  Please use caution if disassembling the magazine for maintenance.  If not properly secured, spring may eject from the magazine when floor plate is removed and can cause serious injury.

Got a couple of them sometime ago. Only ran one once in a ar pistol, rapid fire. Worked perfect. Price of ammo too many rounds too quickly, and a very hot barrel! Why I dont use them much. But they are reasonably priced compared to a magpul 60 rd drum mag.

I’m seeing people on here say these fed in 6 different ARs. But I also remember specifically this mag failing to feed in 5 different ARs on an Instagram review. So I dunno.

I have the surefire one and other high capacity mags. They're just a novelty, too hard to carry and has no tactical advantage in fact it makes the gun harder to handle. If you're taking pictures or using a full auto their great but if you want it for practical reasons, stick to the 30 rounders.

What tactical advantage do you need?

If you have to throw 60 rounds down range quick, I'm gonna have to assume you can't hit your target for shit.

Aww, did I hurt the OP's feewings. Maybe try learning how to hit your target and you might understand why this is a range toy.

Sounds like a gun grabber saying why do you need a 30 round mag. You cant hit shit with a 10 round mag?

These are actually quite nice .They lock up and function perfectly in the six brands of ARs I tried them in. Well made and compact ,much less bulk than my Magpul D 60 drum. Similar in design to the Surefire mags. So far these are a winner , for the price give one a shot.

I thought about picking one of these up just to try. I have 2 of the Magpul D 60 drums and 2 of the Surefire 60s. They all work great. Can you tell me about how many rounds you have threw this mag and have you left it loaded for an extended period of time. I figure you probably haven't left it loaded too long because it is so new. . So I assume this one is pretty light, similar to the Surefire?

They are pretty lightweight.I’ve put about 300 rounds through the mag in various ARs haven’t had it long enough to tell how the spring fares with long term storage. Seems well built mag lips seem to hold up so far.

Thanks I am going to give it a try and order one now. I will post back in a few weeks after I get it and take it to the range.
