This is complete junk. Plastic 100%.... order a palmetto lower and find a complete upper and you will spend about the same for something that’s not poly.

Be careful ! I used them for 5 years and every gun ordered was a big hassle! If you want a good smooth transaction go with one of the many other companies. You will save some money and a lot of problems

Stop upvoting this. Probably the worst ARs ever made

Although these polymer rifles have been on the market awhile now, I still cannot convince my brain to buy one... something about "metal reinforced" Tupperware upper and lower just doesn't instill much confidence in them...if they become just a tad cheaper I'll bite. I can always sell it off if I don't like it...

I said the same thing, I've put 2200 rounds through my 10.5 omni

They need a budget pistol like this in 9mm. PSA and FTM seems to be the least expensive for 9mm, anyone know of other budget ones?

I would instead build one from PSA. Complete lower with Shockwave brace $120, complete upper w/bcg and charging handle $240. $360 total and no polymer.

Doesn't this need a tax stamp due to short barrel? Or only if you ever plan to accidentally put the buffer tube against your shoulder?

No. It's a pistol

Only if you put an adjustable stock on it. With a fixed stock and no vertical grip you’re all good with no stamp.

I'm in the middle of building on, so I've been doing a ton of research. It has nothing to do with whether it's adjustable or not, but everything to do with the length of pull (from the face of the trigger to the furthest point back in the fully extended position. The legal limit for an AR pistol is 13.5", and no more than 23" overall. The SBA3 is a very popular AR pistol brace, and has five positions of adjustment.

It would require a stamp if the firearm is registered as a short barrel rifle, but it appears to be a pistol because of the lack of shoulder stock with 7.5" barrel. You're correct about firing it from the shoulder. You have to pay the tax man for that ability. You also cannot own a full auto firearm or suppressor without first paying the tax man. That is, it's very illegal and immoral to own a fully automatic suppressed machine gun, unless you pay the tax man. Then it's all fine and dandy...

Josh you are incorrect in what you are saying. If you buy an AR pistol lower, it will be registered with ATF as such and that lower can never, ever be configured any other way. If you want to put an upper less than 16" on a lower with an adjustable stock, than that needs to have the SBR tax stamp paperwork filed and that upper and lower can never be legally put together until that is approved. As for shouldering an AR pistol lower, there is nothing illegal about doing so. I have a 10.5" 300 BO with a KAK blade and I shoulder it all the time. The ATF released a letter last year saying that shouldering a pistol lower was NEVER illegal, even though for a few years previous, everyone thought that it was. All pistol braces, KAK, Sig, whatever, are legal to shoulder, and always have been, per ATF. Do the research if you don't believe it's true

No Vet, you are incorrect. Any original pistol lower can move back and forth between being a rifle, as long as the tube/stock/brace and barrel length configuration are in compliance with the NFA. From the horses mouth: https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/can-i-lawfully-make-pistol-rifle-without-registering-firearm.... If you even have an inkling that you want your lower to be a pistol at some point in time, slap a pistol tube or brace on the lower and take a picture, it now officially started as a pistol. You cannot however take a lower that was originally on a rifle, and tun it into a pistol. You want a shorter barrel, you gotta buy the damn stamp.

In regards to braces, the ATF originally had wording that made it seem like shouldering was legalish(2013), then illegal(2015), then not all that long ago legal again(2017). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK6YJ3BD2-8&t=495s..., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auAqPnh9iCg.... If you built it "intending" to shoulder it, it was illegal for about 2 years. Was anyone ever charged? Not to my knowledge, but don't alter an arm brace or tube, and take a picture holding it like a "pistol". The ATF is stupid, but they hold all the aces.

Probably shouldn't nag people about research.

I feel I was correct in answering Jester's first question, though I admit my wording was confusing. This would not require a tax stamp as a short barrel AR pistol, but one should still be aware of local state law regarding this type of weapon. As far as his second question, beyond a stock or a brace, nobody seemed to take the shoulder thing seriously anyway. I was just looking for another reason to blame the tax man. And if that tax is no longer due (or never was), then yippie f-ing hooray.

If you are a real vet, thank you for your service.

I picked up one of these a couple months ago when they were on sale for this price and I can't say I regret it. I was skeptical of the polymer upper, but in all honesty its held up very well. It's super lightweight yet still feels pretty darn sturdy, and I haven't had any malfunctions even with steel cased ammo. I ended up slapping a KAK Shockwave Blade onto it and it looks really good. Only thing I'd say to look out for if you pick this up is to make sure you keep it lubed up very well, as the polymer wants to seem to soak up every bit of it that it can.

Try a thick grease and see if that holds better than the oil you might be using .
