ATI® Omni Hybrid Maxx 5.56 NATO/.223 Remington AR-15 Rifle with AIM Sports® 1x20mm Micro Red Dot Optic

The Omni Hybrid Maxx features ATI's metal-reinforced polymer upper and lower receivers…which help to reduce weight and increase maneuverability without sacrificing durability. The lower receiver features an over-molded metal insert, which reinforces the buffer tube housing and rear takedown pin. This allows for metal-on-metal contact with both the buffer tube as well as the rear takedown pin, delivering the strength and durability to withstand recoil and constant use.

In fact, the Omni Hybrid lower has been specifically tested to withstand all sorts of use and abuse. The folks at ATI put it through all the pressure and weight-bearing tests, similar to the US Military's testing, and found it to function flawlessly, even after supporting up to 250 lbs. and being run over by an 800-lb. forklift. Then, they ran 2,000 rounds through it without a hiccup. If you're still not sold on a polymer AR-15, just remember that people were also skeptical of Glock pistols in the early 80s. This model comes standard with an AIM Sports® Micro Red Dot Optic.

For $280? Maybe. For $360 with an $80 GC? Nope.

I just can't see buying this with decent all metal rifles for sub-$400. Everyone has the "I only had one break" story....ever heard that same line talking about aluminum?

$440 with shipping and tax. So $360 after the gift card

I have 3 omni lowers. I've never had a single problem with them. I did break an upper on a sbr 300 blackout build. I think the back pressure was too much. Other than that they have been great.

That's funny there's a mention of people distrusting a polymer AR15 with modern-day technology behind it's development. I have several polymer receiver sets I've built into different rifle configurations and they've all ran just fine. The only broken receiver I've ever seen was long ago and it cracked right where the buffer tube ring meets the body of the lower receiver. With more material, embedded glass fibers and metal sleeves to thread I'm sure that problem is resolved. Of course, those are plinking range rifles for me, my buddies and the kids. It's not likely, but in a true SHTF scenario my metal options are always GTG.
