I really don't see the need for an AK47. Mind you, I'm not knocking them or their fans, just stating that AR platform rifles (and pistols) are now very affordable. AK47s are not as affordable now as they used to be, and I had ethical problems with buying one back then - they've killed more Americans than any other foreign made rifle.

if you want a reliable AK look at Valmet, Polytech 56, Norinco MAK-90 or VEPR FM-11. my MAK's and VEPR have been as reliable as my Colt and LMT.

only issue with both platforms has been ammo related.
i like both platforms! YMMV.

I’m with you sgdops I’m an AR fan and I’ve put thousands of rounds through my Colt. I’m new to the AK world and I bought a milled Arsenal and a stamped PSA AK47. I’ve had far fewer cycling issues, jams, etc. with my AR platform rifles. I’ve never submerged my AR in mud to see how it does but for my range and back country shooting I’ll take the AR’s every time over one of my AK’s.

Early reports coming in of premature wear on these receivers. Research it at AK Operators Union and other reputable sights.

Boy, I don't think there's a single AK on US market, past or present, that doesn't have some sort of manufacturing defect. For such a "tough" design they seem to be awfully finicky twats

First Arsenal I’ve seen on here in a while. Maybe AKs will make a recovery. Tired of seeing IOs all the time. Bring back the Saigas, Arsenal’s, and etc.!!
