Description

Arsenal SAM7 SF-84 AK Rifle, This 7.62x39 caliber rifle combines authentic, high-quality features rarely seen in the American market. From its unique right-side folding tubular buttstock to its 24x1.5mm muzzle threads with muzzle brake, every component of the SAM7SF is engineered to provide decades of dependable and accurate service. The SAM7SF rifle is bound to become a sought-after shooter and collectible firearm.

Arsenal’s Exclusive Milled And Forged Receiver
Each SAM7SF receiver is milled from a hot-die hammer forged receiver blank by the Arsenal Co. of Bulgaria. Other milled-receiver AKs are machined from bar stock, but Arsenal’s hot-die hammer forging produces stronger and finer-grained steel. Internal voids and cooling deformations are eliminated by the 5-ton hammer forging process.

Each forged receiver blank requires over 5.5 hours of milling before assembly. This forging and milling process is complex and time-intensive, but Arsenal’s meticulous attention to detail delivers a receiver of unequaled strength, precision and durability

I own this rifle. Bought it in 2004 after the Clinton gun ban sunset. Paid - get this - $725 for it in Arizona.. Have put over 10,000 rounds through it without a hitch. Would I pay $1329 for it today? No. While it IS an extraordinary AK, there are much better price/value relationship items available today that one can find for $1329. However, all that said, if I were to buy just one AK, this would be it. To put this in perspective. I also own several really fine AKs from Robinson arms. All great shooters but none touches this. My tops for this today would be $1000 - otherwise, a Colt LE6920 or 6940. Hope this helps.

Is this AK made of gold or something? Why so much? Is it that much better than the $500 J&G AK?

Machined receiver, folding stock, and yes, much higher quality. See the MAC youtube video. Worth an extra $700? Not to everyone. But please don't purchase the cheap ones sight-unseen. Their quality can be atrocious, from misaligned piston tubes to ill-fitting magazine ports. Not to mention the splinters from the bewilderingly crude wood furniture.
