Aside from the aesthetics of the gun, it's not much different than any other foreign factory built AK.
respectfuly disagree. bulgarian milled reciever which undergoes forging then machining eliminates any internal void or crack... no flex or twist in any rivet or pin due to this. this gun will shoot an inch and a half @ 100 meters. the barrel is machined from a solid block of steel, and the sight/gas block areas are ground even. outside of that, yes optional features are added and nice, but can be added to any AK... though, take a look at the safety on this guy... there is a left side thumb safety along with the traditional selector lever. pretty intuitive design. aesthetics? i love the skeleton frame stock and the muzzle break.... plus good deal at about $1275 as msrp is $1650. sorry, i should have said this instead of making a blanket statement of "best you can buy". ;)
I bought one back in july here's what i found:
Cons: High price point $1250-1600. Heaviest ak47 I own. Stock is incredibly uncomfortable-frequent cheek bite/slap due to medal tubular design. I can not stress this part enough. The but of the folding stock is short, narrow, and has no padding what so ever. Thus offering the shooter little purchase on the rifle. Bruising on the cheek and pec/shoulder tie in is inevitable. Limited after market options- unable to replace stock as it is machined into the receiver, same with pistol grip.
Pros: The most accurate of the 11 ak variants I've owned. Fit and finish is superb! The craftsmanship is beyond expectations. The milled receiver is hardy and incredibly reliable - 1500+ rounds not a single issue! In my opinion, one of the highest functioning ak's on the market.
Truth be told, i recently sold mine. In the end the heavy weight and the painful shooting experience took the joy out of the rifle. If you're looking for an arsenal i recommend stamped fixed stock. I doubt i'd spend this much on an ak again.
