Description

The Rock Island Armory 1911 series consists of a product line of single-action recoil operated semi-automatic pistols. They are designed and manufactured by Armscor in Marikina City, Philippines, and distributed in the United States by Armscor USA, located in Pahrump, Nevada.

RIA (Rock Island Armory) 1911s are clones of the US Military G.I. M1911-A1, the standard issue US Service pistol from 1911 to 1985. Most RIA models are targeted for the low-end price point of the 1911 pistol market and are basic entry level MIL-SPEC versions of the 1911, however, the RIA Tactical, Compact, and Match models offer additional semi-custom high end features. The Compact model features a skeletonized hammer and beavertail grip safety while the Tactical model also adds a target-grade hammer and trigger as well as an ambidextrous safety, and enhanced contrast combat sights. Armscor is an ISO 9001 certified-compliant company which manufactures Rock Island pistols using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment. RIA 1911 series pistols are constructed of 4140 chromoly steel with a cast frame, and are available in .45 ACP, .38 Super, 9mm Luger, and .22 TCM chamberings.

I love mines and the 22TMC ammo is easier to get now since they opened a new plant in NV. The good thing is that if you can't find the 22TMC ammo in your area, you can just shoot 9mm.

Interested in this gun for the combo aspect, but would like to get some reviews from owners regarding recoil and muzzle flip.

Very little to none even with 9mm because the gun is a bit on the heavy side; I will never get rid of mines and I'm very happy that I bought mines new when I did at a smoking deal.

Thanks! I think I would like the smaller version you mention in another post but don't seem able to find it on this site. I think the Item # is 51962. Do you know anything about that one? And can you share what the "smoking deal" you got was? Thanks again.

This is a combo. Two barrels come with the firearm. Thanks for the feedback. We will update our page to say it comes with two barrels. I'm really sorry for the confusion. We are out of the full size, but do have some of the mid -size.

I would rather have the mid size; but want it in the combo version with barrels and springs for 22tcm and 9mm.

The link that you listed is the standard version and it's out of stock. There is a mid size one but it only list 22tcm. thanks

On this companies website there is no mention of this being the combo version and reading the description there is no mention of which barrels is shipped with this gun if it wasn't the combo version (9mm or 22 tcm). Does any one know?

BTW they are out of stock, I'm just wondering because I almost bought one when they were in stock until I went back and re-read the description carefully. I'm wondering if some bought this firearm thinking that they were getting the combo version and didn't get what they thought that they were ordering or if this was the combo version. thanks in advance.

I am very interested in this handgun. I have read a lot of good things about Armscor 1911s lately. The .22 TCM is a really neat round, plus the ability to switch over to 9mm is nice.

Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this pistol?
