I can believe its upvoted. The rifle is an Armalite with a high quality barrel and a 2 stage trigger. It's an $850 rifle in a market where Smith and Wesson Sport IIs are $750. I think it is absolutely a solid deal right now. Remember, the 5.56 round was designed for a 20 inch barrel for maximum effectiveness. Pair this with a 1-8x variable optic and you truly have a rifle capable of CQB or 800 yards if you want.

I'm not sure the name "Armalite" means much anymore.

Spoken like a true ignorant tacticool elitist. Look up the difference in ballistics between your cute mk18 and the og 20 inch master race.

You don't know what you're talking about, friend.. I love 20" rifles. I've an A1 clone, an A2 clone, and an A4 clone, the first two of which I built both uppers and lowers. My A4 upper is a surplus FN with M5 handguards. I carried the A2 back in the day so it's an old friend. This rifle, on the other hand, is too much money for what it is.

Have you been living under a rock? It's hard to find any AR form a reputable brand this year under $1000. If you do they don't stay in stock long. This is a completely reasonable price normally, let alone during panic buying.

By all means, buy it if you think $850 is a good deal for a non-free floated rifle with no sights.

There's lots of free floated ARs that come with sights that aren't worth 850. The value in in the quality of the parts not extra add ons.

@1213 "The value is in the quality of the parts not extra add ons."
Well said. But you would be surprised how many people don't understand what you just said. They will buy add ons worth penny for a dollar. This rifle is rock solid deal in any time. Excellent barrel with solid trigger. 800 yards rifle with decent optics. I build ARs myself and have one with X-caliber 22 inch and another BA 20 inch barrel. Lots of people don't understand that ARs like this one (Armalite) will shoot better than most people are capable of. I shoot mine ARs 600 yards+. Free float rails are quite over-hyped in my opinion. People think if they slap free float rail, they will be able to shoot 1 inch at 600 yards suddenly. It takes a lot of long range training (and I mean a lot) to even notice effects of non-free float rail on your shooting.
