Description
Armalite® AR-50A1 .50 BMG Single Shot Bolt Action Rifle We here at The Guide are firm believers in "Go big or go home," and it doesn't get much bigger than the Armalite® AR-50A1 Rifle. We're talking 34 pounds of pure, earth-shaking, bone-crushing muscle capable of punching through distant concrete and steel targets with precision and ease. But despite its status as a force of nature, it doesn't lack refinements. The AR-50A1 has been redesigned with a smoother action, new bolt stop, and even greater strength than the original AR-50. Designed to be an economical answer (compared to other .50 BMG rifles) for the challenges of long-range shooting, the AR-50A1 is amazingly accurate—and thanks to its massive fluted muzzle brake, it has very gentle recoil, too. But the muzzle brake doesn't just soften up the recoil. Independent testing has shown the AR-50A1 muzzle brake to be the BEST in the industry for accuracy. The brake scrapes away turbulent muzzle gases, and lets the bullet break into clean air for amazing accuracy. The AR-50A1 features a unique octagonal receiver bedded down into a V-shaped stock. The action itself is smooth as glass, helped by the fact that the Rifle has no magazine and thus no follower to add complexity. The stock is adjustable for cheek weld, and features a buttplate made from over an inch of soft rubber to mitigate recoil. The AR-50A1 also comes equipped with a Schilen single-stage trigger that breaks at 5 pounds. Finished off with a bipod that's capable of stabilizing this behemoth, it's ready to deliver some shock and awe at the range. Patented V-block Bedding Wedge and V-block Stock assures absolute strength and repeatability for superb accuracy Premium 30" chrome moly 8-groove barrel delivers the ultimate in accuracy Premium Schilen standard single-stage trigger; approximately 5 lbs. pull Triple front locking lug bolt Independent testing has proven the AR-50A1 Muzzle brake to be the best in the industry for both recoil and accuracy Vertically adjustable buttplate is specially designed to handle heavy caliber Hard-anodized finish on aluminum for added corrosion resistance Manganese phosphated finish on steel for added durability and corrosion resistance Buttplate features over an inch of soft recoil-reducing rubber Scope mount features 15 MOA tilt for long-range shootingOrder today! Because guns are only for hunting...

Can’t beat this price! Sign up for the free trial membership. Cancel later if you don’t like it, even if you had signed up for the 4 payment plan. Armalite only makes so many of these a year and only get around this price couple times a year.
These bastards... had one on backorder for like a year then they cancelled, now they get them in and I just bought one at $2800.
Ordered mine, I've been watching for this to come back in stock for over a year. Literally no one else has any, most sites list it as discontinued. About a month ago Sportsman's Guide got some in stock, finally, and like an idiot I decided to think it over for a few hours... then when I went to check out it had gone out of stock.
Pretty excited to finally have this ordered. Really hope it ships, Sportsman's Guide has had some issues with bringing their gun sales online. Granted, by now that ought to be done with, but it wouldn't be the first gun I bought from them that they ended up not having.
I digress, if you're thinking about this don't think too long! You might end up like me -- waiting for a year or more.
Surprisingly I ordered this at like 10 at night, it shipped the next AM and will be here tomorrow. That's a huge improvement over the shipping times I've gotten from them in the past.
I paid $2,800 for mine two years ago. I agree with Wildman, this is a great price for an excellent 50 BMG rifle.
ONLY A FEW LEFT! Been on backorder for a long time.
This thing kicks ass tried ordering one a year ago but they've been backordered forever
Now back in stock got mine about a month ago again it kicks ass with the patented muzzle brake anybody can shoot this thing very soft recoil no more than a 308. I don't think there's any cheaper way to get into shooting 50 BMG then this gun and this new model includes the bipod that used to be a $300 option. And not making this a plug for sportsman's guide but if you're a member you can get this on their flex 4 pay for 550.00a month awesome way to get into the 50 BMG Club. These things do sell out fast. So I would not hesitate if you're thinking about getting one.
"very soft recoil no more than a 308" I haven't shot this particular one, but I did shoot the Barrett 50 cal sniper rifle long ago and even with the brake it recoiled WAAAY more than a 308. The blast from the brake also did something strange things to my sinuses, it was an unsettling shock wave.
Single shot, only good for when you absolutely, positively, and without fail, have to make that deer explode into a meaty mist.
