Huge Armalite fan, however I have seen a few of the Eagle Arms have trigger issues (sticking when fired and had to be manually pushed back forward. Also have seen FTF issues. I understand that all manufacturers from Colt to DPMS have issues and your Eagle Arms AR15 may work well, but the big kicker to me is that Armalite has a lifetime warranty, Eagle Arms only has a 1 yr. There is a long history between the two companies and are basically made in the same factory, but Armalite rifles are held to higher quality parts and inspections ie the chrome lined barrels etc...

Saigadave,

I tend to agree with Jet. I owned to as well and both were excellent basic rifles. The specs alone offered by it are superior others in its class.

I am open to hear you side of the discussion though.

In what way(s) has Eagle hurt the Armalite name?

Great gun, owned two. .223 Wylde chamber and a heavy (under handguard) profile 1:8 barrel.

Both were very accurate in my shooting out to roughly 423 yds from supported and prone positions.

Sold both, bought POF and BCM middy's. Huge step in price/features---both are exceptional guns in many ways. However, each of the Eagles cost me around $450 and performed just fine and would serve most shooters just fine. Try getting a BCM for even $900...

Que the BCM fanboys...

(relax---I'm one too ;)

This company has hurt the Armalite name tremendously. It's like having Anderson and Rock River Arms merge. Whoever is in charge of trademark rights at AR should be fired !!!!

Beware, they will screw you: just ordered 4 scorpion mags and a tapco AK mag for the heck of it. CTD canceled my scorpion mags but simultaneously have them on their site for $5 more than what I just ordered. Called to cancel the AK mag and said I can't cancel order, so i just paid $17 for one $9 magazine. Would not let me add 4 cz scorpion mags at "new higher price" to original order either. Would have to pay shipping again. Last time I give them my business.

IMO, your bad for buying from CTD in the first place. Aren't you familiar with their reputation? Buying from these aholes in the first place is what keeps them in business.
