Higher percentage of blems than stated.

I purchased 4 of these. 3 had both takedown/ pivot holes reamed out. 1 had only 1 of those holes reamed. 3 had ejection port pin holes reamed.

Overall the general condition of the uppers were clean and acceptable considering the price. Its up to you to decide if the savings of $10 to $15 over a non blem upper is worth it to you. For me im happy with the price and product.

My only warning is that if you are buying one hoping for a non noticeable blem such as those blems offered by many retailers, you will not be so lucky. The blems are noticeable but the reamed holes should not show after assembly. I don't believe the 20% of items blemishes as stated in description. If so, then they are not distributed randomly. All 4 of 4 of mine were noticeably reamed out.
The likelihood of that occurring, assuming a 20% blem rate and random sampling would almost be the same as rolling a dice 4 times and each time having it land on the same number. I've never seen that happen. Either the 20% claim is exaggerated or they are not randomly distributed.

That doesn't make this a bad deal but just plan on a noticeable blemish or you may be disappointed.

Just got mine yesterday.

Blems are as described (ejection port hinge areas, takedown pin holes). Had very minor scuff on barrel nut as another commenter has mentioned.

Still the nicest upper I own, ha.

I have always been happy with Classic Firearms but this time I was pretty disappointed. I guess I'm the only one who got an upper that was chewed up more than everyone else. I have pictures but I guess I can't post them here. I emailed Classic yesterday, still waiting on a response. Usually the blem stuff I've ordered had one or few slight cosmetic issues at most, this blem was rough to say the least. Marked up inside and out. The threads that the barrel nut screws onto were chewed up too. Hopefully this was a fluke and everybody else got uppers that were in decent shape.

You made it sound like a color issue. It was an issue with the finish being applied too thick and it bringing a few holes out of spec. There's a difference.

For god sakes ......it was a color issue, in addition to the other problems stated. READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION, instead of the first paragraph. Do they not teach reading for comprehension in school anymore, or are people just too hard headed to admit when theyre wrong? READ the "more about the receivers" section and then get back to me.

That's not the reason. Check the video on the website. They're blems because it was too thick, and they had to ream out a couple of takedown holes and pin holes.

Why dont you read the description on the website. It says exactly what i said. But they have added the stuff about reaming the holes. Its actually almost word for word what i commented..

I received mine. Looks and fits great. They are blems because the anodizing was little dark for the clients liking. Matches my lower great. Couldnt be happier

Absolute ditto to what you noted. Slight shine in the takedown pin holes, and the dust cover pin holeclosest to the brass deflector is shiny. One upper had a tiny knick located near the charging handle area, but the other two were flawless other than the already noted "defects."

Great deal.

Just received my 2 uppers, the takedown pin holes inside radius are a bit shiny and one of the dust cover axel holes inside radius is shiny. Cannot see the shin after the dust cover is installed and the upper is fitted to the lower. the uppers are a tight fit to my lowers too. At $29.99 I cannot think of a reason not to buy more of these.

MPN on Classic Firearms site reads "SIG" indicating that these may be Sig Sauer factory blemish uppers.

Can't say for sure. But the item MPN may be a hint.
