I'm surprised someone else hasn't already done this...

I'm as skeptical as the next guy about a new company with "too good to be true" prices. Especially a company that doesn't have a phone number or reviews that are easy to find (for some reason I don't much trust facebook as a company website but that's just me). So I emailed the customer service just to see what kind of response I got. 2 hours later my questions were answered in email form so I ordered this kit as kind of a test. When their other (and better) kits went on sale I ordered 3 of those too a couple of days later. Not sure how, but I got the quad rail kits first (even though I ordered this one first). Put it together with no problems and was actually impressed with some of the parts and quality.

I then got this kit and it looks like a quality entry level ar 15 kit (I would know, I've built about 20 of them). The only thing it's missing is a forward assist. IT DOES HAVE A DUST COVER. Which I was surprised about after reading that one guy's comment and looking at the picture.

Right now, I'd recommend buying the premium or quadzilla kits while they are on sale. When they aren't on sale, I would recommend this one.

My only fear is the company is going to get popular and then their prices are going to go up. My opinion's probably not worth much and I could be wrong, but if you want a fantastic deal for a kit, get it now because I can't see how these prices will stay this low (at least for the premium and quadzilla kits. This kit may stay the same price.)

Eugene Stoner felt no need for a Forward Assist: https://gundigest.com/rifles/ars-rifles/ar-basics-futile-forward-assist
This Slick Side upper does allow for a dust cover. Yes, key mod is outdated, but is still more functional than an A2 handguard!

There is a dust cover.
A lot of people don't care if there's a forward assist especially at this price point.
Nothing wrong with the keymod system.
??? Why comment on something you haven't purchased or handled yourself???
Hard pass? You're missing out.

I almost didn't buy this kit because of your comment. Glad I did anyway.

I would really think twice before buying from this guys, I tried returning an item and they are ignoring my emails now. No refund, and they have the item I ordered so SOL, I've work sales and the first thing I learned is not to ignore your customers, because they're the ones putting money in your wallet

Ho Lee Fuk that's cheap. Cheap to the point I fear it. While I like the idea of a <$300 AR I like the idea I get to keep my fingers better.

Here is a recent review from a customer (not paid or sponsored in any way) of our stubby pistol build kit.
We pride ourselves in being one of the ONLY companies offering lifetime warranty products for a truly great value.

That's great and all, I'm just not quite figuring out how your beating standard pricing for an AR by $100 and not making sacrifices to quality somewhere. From the picture the weak points look like the handguard and stock. Forward assist and dust covers arn't make or break for me.

Your "stubby" build does actually looks more appealing. Get some of those kits in a 9mm platform and I'd imagine you'd make a killing.

If you believe in capitalism (lol) you should know that beating prices is part of a competitive market. Doing so without sacrificing quality is the main objective of a strong competitor.

Well, I did end up buying a hand guard off them, and there was considerable play in the quality of the machining. Make or break on the part? no. But it does tell me there are sacrifices being made. I prefer those don't happen on integral parts that effect performance, of which I'm not willing to be the guinea pig for.

We are beating standard pricing by being one of the largest wholesalers in the country on Ar-15 parts, and by keep SUPER low overhead. Same quality parts as everyone else, we just negotiate better deals and don't spend money on absurd things like other companies. I invite you to our warehouses any time to see and touch the products.

Don't make it to KS much, but if I do...
Most everything looks fairly standard spec aside from what was already stated; just my experience buying budget parts has been unfortunate at times. I'll buy cheaper parts at the shows, but ordering is another case.

I just got one and it had a dust cover. Not sure if you actually bought one or just looked at the picture, but the one that appeared on my door step 2 days has a dust cover. Did you buy one and not get a dust cover?
Obviously you are correct about the forward assist.
