2 dollars more than yesterday! HOW CAN PA PRICE-GOUGE LIKE THIS??!!11 /s

You're WRONG amigo. The price didn't go up. PA is currently selling two models of Anderson lowers. Their closed trigger model for $49.99, and the open trigger model for $47.99, and PA has not increased either price in the last few days. As for as your claim of price gouging, you may have confused PA with PSA. For years PA prices have consistently gone up, and down proportional to their cost from distributors, and manufacturers. This practice did not change with the pandemic, and has earned my respect.

Hey, I thought the "/s" at the end of my comment was obvious, but I was just joking.

I did notice after commenting that this is the closed ear version.

These have always been a catch when catch can, high demand lower, that sold for around $45-$50. My hat is off to P.A. for offering them at a very reasonable price. Deals like this don't go unappreciated, and many of us will remember, and support the dealers that have been loyal to us.

Agreed. Primary Arms is one of the very few vendors these days that don't pandemic gouge.

I wish I could get these without the $15 fee to the store and $10 to the state police. I can get them for $45- $50 locally all the time. It's too bad sales like this just do not exist in storefront operations.

Why is it that I am seeing these lowers online at such a great price, yet going into any retailer, or local gunstore, and they want anywhere from $60-$100 for the exact same thing?!? It's driving me nuts!

I have a few AR15 rifles, but I don't like it when I see people who think they are simply chatty, but wind up literally posting a complete firearms inventory in public view. It's just not smart. I'm a retired cop and I know what happens to people who think they are safe sharing the contents of their closet (& safes!) with the world. Aside from owning rifles, I really want to put a few lower receivers away. They can be built later, or sold, traded, gifted, whatever, but they are like money in the bank. I'm just not willing to triple my cost because some local FFL holder has to earn a huge profit.

It's really incredible how out of touch the majority of brick and mortar retailers are with online pricing. And even more incredible that people are paying those prices.

There is a limit of 5 this time around, the other info is old.

Ha Ha! Ya I'm definitely addicted, hopefully I won't be buying anymore in the next 2-3 years, or I'll be filing bankruptcy! :)

Thanks for the info man, I went ahead and grabbed 3 of the closed ear and 2 open. That will last me for many years to come! :)

I'm putting my 5 next to my 8 or 9 others in the tip of my safe....at this price it would be silly to not.

famous last words. I thought the same thing when I bought my first 3 a few years back. now I have 5 rifles, and several receivers stuck in a box and I'm thinking of grabbing at least 3 more from this sale

So what is the differences between the closed & open trigger guard lowers? I am just curious if there is a benefit to one or the other because I am going to order 5 of whichever one would be the best for building? Thanks for any comments/suggestions!

Personal opinion. Closed ears obviously can't customize the trigger guard of you want a different color one or something fancy. Open ear you can
..but need to install it yourself.

I ha e a few of both...if it's about value go with the opened.

closed ear has a built in guard, seems ample enough.. if you normally just use a standard guard then probably no point in getting the open ear.

It does mean you can't change it out if you change mind later though.

some people complain about getting pinched between the trigger guard and pistol grip.. closed ear would probably elminate that problem if you're having issues.

I bought 1 of each.. gonna give the closed ear a spin.
I haven't seen any aftermarket trigger guards I like enough to part with my money.

It's a personal preference thing. if you want to install a deeper trigger guard that gives more finger room for gloves, or have some fancy trigger guard that is all colored or something then go with the more traditional open ear. otherwise there is nothing wrong with the closed ear for people who just want a basic trigger guard. Go with whichever one tickles your pickle really. hell, if you're getting 5, just get say 3 of the open and 2 of the closed if you want to try em out. Functionally they won't make a lick of difference

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the comment! Will probably get 2-3 of each then... Take care!

you can order up to 5 this go around

And so I did. 10 Troy mags a charging handle and 5 lowers for $249 shipped.

If have ordered 25 of I could. Simple investment piece...

Yep. Same reason for me not ordering, although I do need two, and would like to buy a few extra.

Still, best deal I've seen in three years on a single lower, and it's the closed ear, which I prefer.

I think primary arms had a deal for 3 for $99 and that was the best deal I had seen before then.

2 limit makes it not great. If I could order in higher quantities it would cut the shipping costs down per item and also save me big on the FFL fee. 2 at a time only saves me a few bucks.

ugggg, limit of one makes shipping fee eat up quite a bit. a limit of 2 would have given a decent spread... still solid deal

Shipping was $10 for one OR two, not great, but one at $45 shipped, still better than any local offerings here in California. Pay up the rear for transfers, but that's not Primary Arms fault. Thanks PA, another fair price for a shipped lower.

Local stores in NorCal dont seem to stock affordable stripped lowers, so mail-order are becoming only way to get em...

I bought one of these locally from PA last year. Great lower, much better fit and finish than other brand cheap lowers I've bought over the years with one exception.

Only issue I had is the grip screw was not fully threaded all the way to seat the screw completely and one of the detent spring holders was also not drilled all the way. I haven't had time to ship it back so if you buy some, make sure you test all the fittings if your plan is to store it away for a rainy day.

Thanks OP. About $58 each with shipping an FFL Fees for me. Good deal.

Do you folks get these shipped to a local gun shop? And what do you pay for the background check?

There used to be a few guys in my area that had their FFL and charged less than gun shops. But I can't get a hold of them lately. My local gun shops want $40-$45 for the background check, which puts this lower at close to $100 for me.

Holy shit! Sad enough, that's not the most expensive transfer fee I've seen. $60 from a store in a neighboring county. My transfer is $20 +$5 for each additional firearm. $10 flat for MIL/LE/Fire

Short of calling every dealer near you for the transfer fee, Buds has a list of the shops they've shipped to and often have the transfer fee listed. For me, I pay $20 per transfer with most shops charging $25 in my area, and a few charging exorbitant amounts like your shop. You can also get on gun friendly Facebook groups in your area. There's often a guy on there that will compete or undercut the shops for FFL transfers fees.

Built my AR in 7.62x39 on one of these lowers and fit was fantastic. A 22mods4all.com upper, Anderson lpk and geiselle trigger. Everything fit snug, no rattles and is reliable and accurate as can be. No problem since round one...I'm around 500 rounds through now.

I built 2 ARs, a .300 and a .556. on AM-15 lowers. I couldnt be happier with fit of all LPK, trigger and finish of the anodizing. I cannot see paying triple for a lower.

ditto,if the limit was 2 b4 the election I would have got em, without even thinking about it. I got 1 week before the election when the limit was 1 per for a dedicated build, but I really like trigger guard and probably gonna stitch it out with another lower for cold weather hunting...
saving my pennies for a 308 build now that there isn't a rush
