Doesn't seem like the good old days we're that long ago around Thanksgiving last year primary was offering these Anderson lowers a five pack shipped to your fll for $99.00
I was giving these freedom seeds out as Christmas presents last year telling my coworkers and Friends this exact thing would be happening this time of year right now.

Why would anyone want one with a serial number.

0 votes
3 votes

Because 80% lowers require tools like milling machines, drill presses, and x-y vises. They also require know how, and time to complete and therefore extra expense (and they are already more expensive than a finished lower to start with). Especially the aluminum ones. And the polymer ones, while a bit easier to complete, can be less durable and often require proprietary parts. Also, fear of serial numbers is unnecessary paranoia: in the event your local/state/federal government goes to your LGS to pull 4473s, we will long know that things have gone to shit..because they really don't need to do that to take your guns. Yes, 80% lowers can be fun projects, but complete receivers are a simpler, cheaper, and more reliable choice for the vast majority of people.

my gun store got these for $99.99 and only got 2 of them, so for whats going on I guess the price is not too bad?

This is early post 2004 pricing, so yes, not great, but not terrible either. The fact that they still have them is stock is kind of great. My lgs has them starting at $80, but they've all got the goofy engravings, rather than the standard anderson stamp.

Price wise this is the worst time to buy a gun. Especially with the election approaching. If Trump wins gun prices will fall lower but If Biden wins he’ll starting getting Beta Male O’rouke to start rounding up guns. Making prices go wild. Don’t br a fuck boy vote Republican in 2020

Just like when Obama took all our guns, right? Idiot. Meanwhile Trump has been the worst 2A president since Clinton. Regardless of who wins supply and demand will dictate price as it always does. Keep jerking yourself off.

@ChootEmLiz Open your eyes. The Democratic Party is so anti 2a they can’t even lie and say they support it. Biden/Harris is a disaster in the making if they get elected. Please do some research and learn a few things instead of being a sheep.somresearch

I got 2 for 70 a couple months back but realistically if you want or need it get it. 10-15 dollars is cheap insurance you’ll never miss. Realistically everyone remotely interested in ars should have a couple lowers stashed in the back of there safe for later. In the last ten years I seen ar lowers selling $20-$300 and pmags selling from $7.99-$80 so buy when there cheap so you can enjoy the hobby even in crazy times.

I have been waiting 2 weeks and still not shipped. For the dumba$$ talking about price gouging, go live in china or vote for obama. Its supply and demand moron.

Primary Arm took my order 2 weeks ago and still has not shipped! If out of stock, it needs to be stated and not take orders!

Did you end up getting your order yet?

Because it doesn't ship before you place the order doesn't mean they lack stock. My 7/4 order is due 7/23 and 7/24. My 7/15 order hasn't shipped yet which includes a couple of these lowers and some other stuff. Just placed yet another order today for more lowers and some uppers. There are other placed like Sportsmans Guide which say they have it in stock, and after you place the order they give you a date months out.

My friend is having the same problem. Correction: problem was with the FFL.

Weird. Not saying it’s OK, but that’s very atypical for them, in my experience. Lately, my orders have been shipping nearly the same day - some within an hour or so.

Maybe call them? I’ve been there - good folks.

That price is up there. I ordered 3 from them last year for 26-28$ a piece. Think it was 9$ shipping. 20$ for all to transfer from FFL.

Got an invoice to show for the $26-$28 before shipping? I have only ever seen polymer that low, especially in the last 1.5 years.

Just check the price history if you don't believe the guy... https://gyazo.com/719bdc72f8d665ee9eadc411270654e1...
It only goes back a year so could for sure have been cheaper sometime last year...

It looks to me like primary arms is price gouging! A stripped Anderson should be about 10 bucks less than that.

$47.99 is way overpriced!

Find another lower for less than 100 in stock roght now. Go ahead we will all wait for you to goodle and fail.

Whether you can find a cheaper lower, cheaper ammo, cheaper whatever right now does NOT change the fact that these are overpriced...

Looks like most everyone here is talking about the same thing that stopped me from ordering, and not this specific dealer. It's the FFL fee and shipping/tax depending on the seller. The good deal turns into a "meh" deal. It was cheaper for me to actually buy from a local gun store since I was only getting one. Now some guys getting multiples can be better depending on the FFL charges.

Whether or not this is a deal is going to come down to your ffl. I only order these when they allow 5. This is my 3rd time doing so. The shipping has generally cost $11. My ffl only charges $15 per transfer. 5 items at once is only one transfer. Some ffls will charge addition for additional item which is why I said in the beginning that what makes or breaks this deal is the ffl. $149.95 for 5 lowers, $10.28 for shipping, $11.22 for taxes, $15 for transfer which totals 186.45. That's 37.29 per lower. Back when there were no taxes I was getting them for $35 a piece.

This isn't a deal. While I agree the initial price of $30 is good, by the time you add tax and shipping the price goes to $42. I just got 2 Aero Precision Gen2 stripped lowers for $45 each, both non-blems Much better quality. My FFL guy doesn't charge vets for transfers. So if you add an average fee of say $20, you now are paying $62 for an Anderson? No thanks. I have nothing against Andersons. I own 2, but when I can get APs for the same price, or $20 less if you pay a fee, there's no way I'm considering them for a second.

I have 12 of these lowers and not once have I had any problem. You can do as you please, but I’m not interested in a roll mark or resale value. These perform excellently with every upper I’ve bought or built. PSA, bcm, radical, Spikes...
Get whatever discount you want, but these perform flawlessly and cost less than any other lower out there in the real world. I’ll never have enough of these.

wut?
You're comparing your ability to acquire the receivers without a transfer fee, yet incorporate it into the price to detract that these receivers are a good deal?

What is open ear and RF 85?

RF technology means the metal parts do not need oil or lubrication. Open ear means no trigger guard.

can any one tell me when you buy, let’s say 5 receivers and they shipped to my local FFL. The local FFL usually charge the transfer fee per piece? let’s say $25 x 5 = 125
thanks

Are they stripped lowers?

My FFL charges $10 per firearm or lower and $5 for the background check on NICS. So 1 lower would be $15, 2 lowers $25, 3 lowers $35, etc. Since his fee is so good (just my opinion), I don't view it as a rip off to charge the $10 for each serial #. Some FFLs around here charge $25-35 per gun. Most of my transfers are 1 firearm for $15, and living in FL there is no tax on any internet transfers.

Depends on the FFL some do it that way but it's a RIP off

Call around see most will have some sort of price break
