Description:
A complete AR of this quality, at a price better than this? You just won't find it. You supply the sights and the mags, Anderson delivers the rest, with big-time quality and value. Unlike other companies, Anderson makes most of their components in-house at their Hebron, Kentucky facility... meaning they can control costs like no other. So while the price says "entry level," the built quality and finish are well beyond.

Great shootin' set up for very reasonable price - no failures so far after first 500 rnds. Gotta love this site...

If you're looking for a good

If you're looking for a good standard AR you can't go wrong with Anderson and at this price these make great beater/backup rifles but that's not to say there would be anything wrong with having one of these as your only rifle if that's all you can afford. I have to say, what a turn of events these past few years have been. I hope the ball keeps rolling in the direction its going but we all must be ever vigilante against the gun hating lunatics who are constantly attacking our freedoms. I hope we get 8 years out of Trump and another R in office after that, but who knows, the liberals are seething right now and ever plotting to regain control. The propaganda storm has been relentless. To the point, love to see the price on these rifles so low, hopefully AKs will follow cause if I can get a decent one for 5 bills or under I'll be all over it.

Great rifle. I'm not a tactical operator and not a marksman, just a guy who enjoys buying guns and going to the range. I bought 2 of these and the Anderson shot steel case tula without a hitch while my bushmaster jammed up every 5th round. Might not be as quality a rifle as a a $1500 one people were forking out 3 years ago but I wouldn't know. I'm happy with this rifle and the price!

Outstanding quality for such

Outstanding quality for such a entry level AR. I have put 500 rounds down range from this Rifle never one failure to feed, failure to fire or failure to extract spent case. You cannot scratch build a rifle any cheaper and be any better. I have tried.

Says the guy who spent too much on a AR due to brand name and is now eating ramen, can't afford gas to the range, range fees, or even ammo due to not being as smart as a "Jew." BTW, what "real" AR did you buy...a 600 dollar Bushmaster without a dust cover or forward assist?

Spoken like a truly igonrant tourist.

"Private contractors."

Not "Military."

Pay attention to the details. Unsure why you've hijacked this thread about one weapon and attempted to make unqualified and frankly incorrect statements about a person unknown to you.

I do hope you find the source of such pent up anger and unsolicted aggression towards strangers. I wish you well on your journey.

Much like the military,

Much like the military, private contracting is driven by the bottom line.

Furthermore, are you familiar with ITAR at all? Or how the DOS regulates arms? If so, you'd already have the answer to your question.

Lastly, my comments weren't for you, but the user asking "me" directly about The DPMS Oracle. So, your final comment is irrelevant. My extensive experience with The DPMS was the topic, but pedants like you don't typically take the time investigate all sides of an argument before jumping in.

Sorry, when I smell fish I think something fishy is going on. To me it sounds like your expertise was derived from the internet not from actual experience. Personally if I was handed a substandard weapon in a private security setting I would buy my own to use and train with (pretty typical for military contractors). End...of...discussion. Nice use of acronyms though.

My advice is if your life is worth less than an decent AR you need to find a new job and stop shitting on other people's range TOYS.

There seem to be quite a few

There seem to be quite a few posts downing this rifle for not having all the special do dads of much more costly ARs. That's like expecting a Jaguar at the Ford Fiesta price point....not going to happen so shut up and move along.

I'll take it that you are

I'll take it that you are rather new to ARs based on asking about a DPMS entry/level and quality in the same sentence.

I have hundreds of hours of range time and operations while armed with DPMS Oracles. I cannot stand this company's products, goofy and generally uncomfortable stocks they use, not to mention they all (without exception) feel like out of the box as though someone opened the recievers, poured sand in the internals then shook it out then closed the rifle and shipped it.

Don't get me started on rust and finish (mostly black paint) issues. I did work both land and maritime envirnoments and both were revealing about how much of a budget AR this really is. On a couple rifles we had, brand new mind you, I could literally "flick" the paint (i.e. Finish) off the lower receiver with just my fingernail after mere days of service.

As for the mystery gun, again...if you really want to know and not just be told, you'll do your own research. You'll find it,...as I said, it wasn't hard.

In a pinch tho, I'd go MP II Sport between anything Anderson, Ruger 556 & Dog Pile of Mammoth Shit (DPMS).

I have to ask....where were

I have to ask....where were you "operating" (and for whom) that you were being handed all of these brand new entry level civilian style AR's from umpteen different manufacturers and were allowed to use and abuse them for “hundreds of hours” and thousands of rounds? Strikes me as strange for someone of your caliber putting their life on the line for such an obviously substandard product that you had so much experience with.

This gun is a wobbly pos. You

This gun is a wobbly pos. You couldn't shim it enough even with dipn it in concrete then letn it soak in the sun for a couple days. It will forever be a sloppy bucket-o-yuk.

Other problems I have experienced w/this all other "Andersons" is fitment of multi brand furniture. Everything was able to be mounted, but nothing except a magpul moe + grip went on without issue. The pins, trigger and general machining are acceptable if you are poor or have lower standards of what quality is. Not like I'd personally own one, but there are more well made hybrids and carbon fiber jobs out there than this. All Andersons I've handled/used seem poor to fair quality. These rifles are the bottom of the barrel. My last and final issue was (is) the BCGs and charging handles. They work, but you may end up fighting them. I put over 2,000 rounds through one "all Anderson" and it was as gritty and shitty as day one. Various lubes were used (clp, slip, rem oil, frog etc.)

Another few things about the BCGs; many times they have failed to go in to battery, got stuck in battery and/or failed to eject spent casings. The occassional double fee occurred too. Some these required the time, money and effort of going to a gun smith to repair. If you like taking live (unfired) light primer strike rounds that remain wedged in a barrel out, be my guest. It's also kind of hard to remove it yourself when no proper methods for safely clearing these and all out brute force (carefully applied) still won't unstick the bcg.

All in all, look elsewhere. Ruger AR 555 (Though a few things about that build have me concerned, and not it not that brillant delta ring [haters], I rather like that design). The Colt Expanse is decent, though my thoughts about many others are the same on that rifle. Why machine in ways to put in parts and not add them?

Lastly the MP Sport II. All of the above have their own pros and a few cons. I've handled all and none compare to another entry level rifle I would choose above everthing mentioned herein. Of course, do your own research as I have (wasn't hard). You'll likely discover that great "mystery rifle" I am talking about here. It is of equal or better quality than the last three, but the value is far outpacing of those three.

As for the Anderson, Buy an aluminum softball bat at a garage sale for $5. That's all the Andersons are good for once they jam, so save hundreds, cut out all the paperwork, fees and middle men.

Are you trying to post a deal? There is a method for that.

It helps if you put other words with the link so people know what you think. I personally think that AR pistol is a rip off at that price.

RF85 is not worth $500.

Also, proper netiquette would dictate you remove the url modifiers. For example, take out the "mobile=true" before you post. Our devices can figure it out for themselves.

So anyone have any issue with the fact the front sight post rail doesn't align with the rear sight rail? I would imagine just by looking at this it would make it difficult to use iron sights unless you added a different gasblock. That's the only thing that's making me pass this one up. If anyone with experience with this rifle who ordered one knows could you let me know. Thanks in advance.

If they ship it separately, you don't have to pay the 11 percent federal excise tax.

I would be a little worried, however, most "un-assembled" rifles do NOT come with a warranty.

If you have a problem with one part, say the lower, do you only ship that back and only that gets warranty service???
