The proper code for Sportsmans is GUNSNGEAR not (GUNSGEAR) notice the N. Must have been a typo also not sure about this one but on some codes, you need a 99 cent spring or something else as a filler item.

I commented last time they went on sale. 9-29-17.

It is now almost November and another sale.
They are very good quality. As good as my Ruger lower. As good as my Bear Creek lower. Just a great milspec aluminum lower all ready to make a pistol first. Then convert to a rifle. That way you can switch back and forth. Maybe that increases resale value? I have no idea how I would prove I made a pistol or rifle so I ended up taking pictures of it as a pistol first uploaded to Google photos which has the date on it if there's any ever any question... Don't know if that's what you supposed to do just what I figured would work.

I have put a Ruger upper, 2 different Bear Creek uppers in 7.62 and .223 and also a radical firearms 7.62 pistol. All fit perfectly. I had a problem about a year ago with a new Anderson lower having a burr on something causing ftf. Sent it back to Anderson and they fixed it. Took about 8 days. But once you contact them and send you a prepaid label. They don't tell you this until you actually file a warranty / service request! It was nice I didn't have to pay any shipping.

There's a deal going on for a Aero stripped upper and lower set for about $80 shipped today! Which is a more popular brand.

Even though l do like Sportsman's Guide, and Anderson's value!

Designate the LOWER as a PISTOL and then you can legally put a short barrel on it with out paying the $200 tax stamp and waiting half a year for a SBR!

Put a KAK pistol stabilizing on it, cause now you can legally shoulder it!

Remember once a rifle always a rifle, if it's a pistol first you can switch between a long barrel or a short barrel! Just don't have a regular stock on it with the short barrel.

A blank lower is not designated a pistol or rifle.

I'm absolutely amazed that functional logic was used by the federal government to make a sound decision. I read the first ATF letter stating it was not legal to shoulder a pistol, then the SB Tactical brace was the solely approved pistol brace to shoulder. Then I learned via several sources, that they have published a letter stating they are not considering the pistol an SBR for shouldering it. It makes me think a majority of the decision makers within the BATFE realize the worthlessness to the NFA.

You're basicly paying say 10 dollars assembly fee, If you don't wanan mess with putting it together your self good deal.. course still have to slap a 30 dollar stock kit on it, complete lower.
Buy a 60 dollar BCG, 10 dollar charge handle, a cheapo 150 upper.. complete gun minus sights / mag

Come in well under 400.

What am I missing? I see these lowers, uppers, barrels and other parts that are low to average starter items and when you buy the parts, pay the fll and build your gun you lost $150. Maybe there is another reason but with the prices dropping fast on brand name guns I don't see this craze being a good thing. Then later you list this custom gun on armslist for $1150 while I can get a S&W or Ruger for under $500....

You can search through gundeals.com specifically for almost any combination of parts, or partially completed rifles minus certain parts, such as an lpk minus the grip, or an lpk minus the trigger, hammer, or minus the entire fcg. There are also kits made by companies like factory Colt that include a rifle minus the furniture and optics. A couple days ago I saw a basic but complete milspec AR15 for $209 right here on gundeals.com. If you need only an upper and the lpk but no bcg you can easily find that at Palmetto State Armory for under $250, especially if you aren't needing the bolt carrier group. However, there's a company selling some very nice BCG's for only $59 today.

I've used the lowers many times for builds, both in 556 and 7.62x39 and they perform and fit fantastic on a variety of different uppers. Always has good tight fit and excellent reliability and strength. This is a great price too! In for two

The FAQ section say lower parts kit includes the buffer detent and spring, and both take down pins, however it does not include the buffer and buffer spring.

this is a very good deal, best price I can find on a decent mil spec Lower parts kit is $40, making this a $36 lower.

What about the buffer tune spring and detent?

I would guess that both the buffer retainer detent, the retainer detent spring, as well as the rear take down pin, and its detent and detent spring are probably packaged in a small baggie. Those parts won't 'install' without the receiver extension and receiver end-plate installed to hold them in place.
