Its called "inventory" my friend....not every gun shop, especially online carries a whole 10 rifles to sell. I'm sure KYgunCo. Orders directly from the manufacturer and never touched the actual rifle. Look up the term "dropship"....SMH. Even if they do keep inventory in store, Andersen turns out tens of thousands of rifles a year if not more....

Yep a good deal. Only problem I got so many AR's not sure I could make room for another. Several are unfired.

This item has been posted a couple of weeks ago and is still available. The price seems fair for the quality you get. Everybody comments on how good of a deal this is. Why is this item still available? Why didn't it fly off the proverbial virtual shelves? Do other buyers know something about this item that we, regular gun enthusiasts, don't?

Prices are down on AR’s. People bought many last year and sells have slowed. And who knows, KY Gun Co may of had 500 in stock.

Isn't the gas block welded on there?

Gas block is aluminum. Held on by 2 sets screws.

This is a very good deal for an excellent entry level or budget AR-15 rifle. You cannot go wrong with Anderson AR rifles and pistols. They simply just work, and work well! Very reliable, easy to shoot, decent off the shelf triggers, and are acceptably accurate out if the box. They are a solid platform for customization and personalization. One can buy these at a lower cost then are able to buy what you like and prefer to make them the perfect fit to your liking. I have owned many Anderson AR's and used plenty of their parts and always been happy with them.

PS this is my personal opinion and experience. You are certainly allowed your own and I will respect that, I simply ask you do the same. Good day!

I stopped by KY Gun Co last week and looked at one. Ended up walking out with this deal. Put 100 or so rounds through it over the weekend from several different mags. Works as it should.

Yeah, I researched it after saying that and I could find no proof either, thanks for the heads up!
Still. Best deal I have see in at least the last year!

Smoking deal on a very decent entry level rifle.

Definitely a great deal! Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the rifle went for before covid, or is this their new military contract version. It looks nicer than most Anderson’s I have seen

I've seen this rifle for about $400 pre-COVID but only shipped with a single mag. Would have been a SLIGHTLY better deal but with inflation might be neck and neck.

My friend bought one and arrived after only 3 days. He came over to my house Tuesday and I showed him out to clean, operate, and shoot. 200+ rounds and zero failures.

Like someone else stated; highly doubt this has anything to do with a military version they might also be producing.

And no “military” gun is going to have that style gas block. This is as entry-level as it gets.

I paid $550 for mine before COVID and I didn’t get all the extra mags

Anderson has military contracts?

This is an actual deal regardless!

Someone told me that a guy at sportsman’s was saying they got a contract with their AR’s after colt sold to CZ but I have not fact checked

Sounds like another ignoramus at the store. FN has the contract for M4s.

Colt won a contract along with FN a few years back, too, prior to being sold to CZ.

I’ve not heard anything about Anderson winning any government contracts, but that doesn’t mean much. Do research and let us know if that comment has any merit. Otherwise, I’d say the proof is up to the person at Sportsman’s.

Not everything on the internet is true.

Did some digging.. Colt Defense lost its US sales M4 contract about 6 years ago and promptly declared bankruptcy. Since then they have secured contracts to produce the M4 and M16A4 for foreign militaries. I did not see where Anderson has a military contract.
