I picked one of these up from SMGW a few weeks ago for $319.99, free shipping. Very pleased with it, no failures or problems of any kind and quite accurate.

Nice 1911, but for an extra $170 you can buy a much better 1911, the MetroArms, American Classic II 1911.

'For only 50 percent extra you can buy a better gun?!?' No shit Sherlock.

At least you aren't on your normal soapbox complaining about other races. Props on moving up in the world ;)

No complaints with mine. It’s been rolling around in the truck box for a year. Dust it off and she’s still good to go on the “annual test”.

Which is the link posted and the pre 70s series for a grand total of $326.60 after that stupid 10$ fee

Lots of thought put into your clever derogatory comments. Feel better? Find a hobby, or an anger management counselor. Great gun for the money, reliable and durable.

I was just reposting another 'absurd' post. You been up drinking all night??? What 'anger' did you find in my post? I sense a snowflake in our midst. Get upset easily? Cry when Hillary lost? maybe you should put a bit more 'thought' in your post...and into reading other's posts. I actually like this gun. maybe you should re-read my post again as well as my other post on here before assuming I dislike this gun

I've had this gun for 3 years now, and have NEVER had a single problem with it. Out of the box, dead on accurate at 30 yards. Tried stretching it out to 50 yards,.....STILL dead accurate. My ATI "Hand cannon" is my go to gun that never fails.

Is this the one with the ugly logo on the side of it?

0 votes

I'd say fuck it. It's not much too loose if the guns a flop. An if you are anal about the logo. Sandblast the fucker an keep the slide. A stainless steel an polish it as best as possible

i really dont think the guy you are pointin it at that is looking down tha barrel is going to mid the logo

It has a small ATI logo on each side of the slide right behind the slide serrations, an "Extreme" model logo on the front right side of the slide, and the words "American Tactical M1911 Military" in pretty large text on the left side of the slide. I'm not crazy about all of the logos and writing on this pistol, but they're not overly noticeable because they blend in with the finish. Plus, the fit and finish on these pistols is incredible for how inexpensive they are.

Rural King had these on sale for $299 a few months ago. Think it's made by SAM in Philippines.
Not a lot of reviews, but the only complaints I've seen is that the mags can have problems (solved by using a different/better magazine).

Not sure if these were made on the same equipment, but the older ATI 1911s (as well as most Philippine small arms) are made on WWII Colt tooling that was purchased back in the 70's-80's. Essentially, you're buying a Colt without the brand up-charge. QA is on par with just about every other gun manufacturer out there.

Totally satisfied with mine (as are thousands of other customers).

I have a WWII COlt 45 my grandfather handed down to me. If this gun is anwhere near the quality, it is well worth the asking prce

You are assuming the Quality Control is the same, which probably isn't. You are also assuming they are buying the same quality of metal stock, which might not be the case. You are also assuming that the equipment is maintained in the same manner, which might not be. Too many assumptions...

Is this a Mil-Spec 1911?? . I'D like to buy it, if it would take kindly to my Kimber 22 LR conversion. I've heard great reviews from a LEO/ Armorer on ATI's. Thanks for any experienced help.

It is a Series 70 pistol. If your conversion kit is Series 80, this will not work without modifying your kit.

Why all of the different price points on these guns for the past 3 months. How can one store sell them for double what another one sells the for.
When both are on here all the time.?
It's hard to take this seriously when one day it's 280 and the next day it's 400

So how do I buy it I want this with the 30 dollars off

0 votes

I just ordered one of these. I picked up an ATI GI-enhanced commander size 1911 on Wednesday and love it so much I decided I want the full size GI model as a beater. The frame and fit on the GI-enhanced one are incredably tight, as is the barrel lock up, with little to no movement of the barrel, and only slight side to side play with the slide.

I replaced all the internals with a combination of C&S and Wilson parts, and did a nice trigger job, and that little commander is now the sweetest shooting 1911 I have ever owned. I like it even better than my Kimber TM2. We'll just have to see how it is for long term durability.

Can you get me the ATIGFX45GIE? Same gun but 4.25" with combat sights. A competitor had them recently for $289 after MIR but I would not support that company so I passed on it.
