This light weight, tactical style .22lr caliber rifle is every plinking master’s dream come true! Based off of the classic GSG 22 caliber rifle operating system, the GSG-16 features several enhancements to give it a dashing new look for the next generation of shooters. The GSG-16 features a newly designed collapsable stock that also serves as an additional magazine storage compartment for either high or low capacity magazines. The re-designed forend features a MLOK style hand guard. The cocking tube assembly features an ambidextrous charging handle so you can switch up charging rounds to meet your comfort style.

anyone know if the fake can on the front comes off revealing a threaded tip or does the whole barrel go to the tip of the fake can. So if you took the fake can off is it going to show several inches of bare barrel looking ridiculous?
Barrel shroud comes off when you unscrew a small allen screw at the base, its not threaded. If you take off the barrel shroud its going to look funny.
The fake can doesn't come off, & the barrel isn't actually threaded. The barrel runs the full length from the chamber to the end of the faux suppressor.
Two down votes? Really? Hopefully by people that actually OWN this gun...
Ok so to clarify - yes, it's technically removable, in the way that every part is removable. You'll be left with a piping hot 8" barrel protruding from the end of it but for the "Mmmmmyyaaaactually, it is" crowd - yes it can be done. I wouldn't advise it, and it won't achieve (what I think is) your desired effect of having an overall short barrel that ends at the tip of, or near, the handguard but - I was wrong. It's "technically" feasible. :P
The downvotes were most likely from people disliking the fact your statement was 100 percent wrong. The fake can quickly and easily unscrews (but does leave a rather silly looking pencil thin barrel poking out of the firearm). "Technically feasible"...oh okay. Does a 2 liter soda bottle's cap "technically" unscrew or was it clearly designed to? :P
I still do not understand nor can I find the "exact" reason the ATF banned some of the earlier faux suppressor/barrel shrouds on the "SD" models back in 2010? What about them exactly made them illegal? I had one and in now way did it reduce the sound or provide anything other than looks. I have tried to find the ATF's explanation as to their findings but I cannot seem to find any real answers. Just alot of hear say and opinions.
ATF ruled that the shroud consisted of a large expansion chamber with end caps, and therefore, was a suppressor. NO idea why, since it didn't have the "intent" of being a suppressor, & didn't dampen sound, but...hey that's the A-Team for you.
Gonna be sad to see these get wiped out with the swipe of the crayon, like the Pipe line with loss of about 11,000 jobs which in turn why your paying big at gas pumps now, and caravans coming in. I foresee the Second A. disappearing soon since the First has been getting chipped at. 8-P lol lol
