Screw BP— If you will be ordering from them -Good Luck- Ordered from BP 2X and the day after ordering the 9MM Herter’s got a E-Mail ** next day ** basically saying “” Sorry not in stock “ I am done wasting my time with them, not worth the time and aggravation.

Fuck bass pro shops and cabelas and their spam. They claim everything is in stock on the website then wait for you to order only to delay your order by a month or more. Down voting every post

Every Bass Pro ad on here for ammo that claims to be instock, is NOT. If you order the ammo and something else they cancel the ammo and hope you still purchase the other item. I had to stay on hold for 40 min yesterday to make sure they canceled the other $5.00 item after they cancelled the ammo purchase.

They delayed my order to May 15. Cancelled and the charge is still showing up on my account.

They authorized your card and the 'charge' will disappear. This is SOP at pretty much any retailer, gas station, restaurant, etc.

Actually no, they are not doing a pre-authorization. They are actually charging it before it’s even in their warehouse. On mine there are 2 charges, one preauth and one actual charge. Spent 30 minutes on hold waiting to see why I was charged when the item says delayed until April 23 on my order.
The agent told me that there are 11,000 5.56 ammunition orders that are on back order. Not 11k units, 11k orders. Could be next year before they have stock to fill them.

Did the pre-authorization disappear? Maybe the actual charges was them thinking your order when it was ready wasn't (imagine the confusion of having 11,000 orders at once). Sometimes it takes a week or so for a charge to credit back or disappear. We are talking about Bass Pro Shops not flybynightammosales.com.

If it is still next week, just dispute it. Super simple and you should be able to do it from your banks webpage.

I am not worried about them being fraudulent. I do have a problem that they are double charging (pre-charge and actual charge) which takes double away from the available balance, and they still haven’t shipped the product. I made 3 orders and they were all pre-charged and charged and none shipped. It’s using about $2,400 of the available balance when is should have been half that. What else is strange is the pre-charge dropped off and then they did another pre-charge again today. I called about the re-pre-charge and the sales representative said they are consistently pre-charging accounts to make sure the purchaser holds has available balance to hold their spot in back order. If you don’t have a enough available they cancel the order in 48 hours if you don’t call to provide a new payment method. If the item hasn’t shipped in a week and it’s still showing both charges I will force it back (FYI: I work for the bank and manage our fraud department).

Yep, after email and calls I ended up going through my bank to dispute the charge.
