$30 for shipping is a deal killer for me! Natchez does this all the time! Make it a deal and throw in a reasonable shipping fee if not free like others and you would actually sell product!

After the $33 for shipping, the real cost is $294

Natchez always plays the free shipping vs 10% game, almost never do you get both. Cabelas plays the same game. Basically you almost always get free shipping, either through the free shipping code or the 10% off code. That said for the deals that are available right now this is one of my favorites. With the rebate you get 1000 rounds of ammo, and two 50 cal ammo cans for $250. All 1000 rounds will fit in 1 can, so you get an empty can. Also they are packed in 100 round boxes, so for the rebate you only have to cut out 10 UPC symbols instead of 50.

Last day to take advantage of the big rebates, it will be interesting to see if they continue, I doubt it, the ammo companies are going to reduce supply at some point to drive prices back up.

Normally I'd agree..but it did allow the code for free shipping.
.25/rd SHIPPED with a couple of free ammo cans, can't dispute that price!

One way or another, it always comes out to roughly the same price.

Nothing is ever a deal when you deal with Snatchez.

Shipping wasn't too terrible price-wise for me. Ordered on Black Friday and somehow got it by the following Monday.

Some Vendors are set up with Carriers to offer their Customers 'flat rate' shipping. Some are not, or otherwise choose not to. (More on flat rates below)
For those that don't offer a flat rate, your location plays a big part in how much your shipping will cost.
A perfect example: I live in Houston. I buy 22LR from a place in SC. Folks in Bum Fork WA / Bum Fork OR are all screaming bloody murder about how high that Vendors shipping costs are. We compare shipping costs. Yep, they are paying a lot more than I am as they are nearly 3,000 miles from the Vendor in some 'off the beaten path' area. I'm just under half that far away and located in a very populous area with thousands upon thousands of trucks in and out every day,,,,
It can make a difference,,,,

Flat rates:

Flat rates are not always beneficial to the Customer. Our Sister company (MBCI) ships electric seamers from Houston all across America. For a DLok seamer shipped in the CON US, it's $400.00 round trip, whether you're located in Bangor Maine, or just across the street from MBCI. (Ouch!!!)

With all that being said, Natchez has some ~regular~ shipping rates that seem a bit stiff, especially on heavy items...

Not that it matters, but I've recently purchased (3) scopes from Natchez, Each with it's own separate transaction/shipping costs. ($19.95 or so each time, IIRC) Even with the 20 bucks in shipping added, the price of the scope was still hundreds less than any other Vendor.

Moral of the story?

There is no one Vendor who can give everyone the best price everyday on any item, Shop wisely, widely, and consistently, and you will be rewarded.

Add $45 shipping. Not much of a deal.

Yeah, $30 in shipping to TX. I can order the 900 rounds for only a mere $25 in shipping. No thanks.
