I foresee myself going into some very tactical combat soon, and I'm really concerned about the suitability of this slide for my missions... I'll be swimming through swamps, crawling amongst sand dunes, and, of course, traversing arctic tundra... this slide has cuts allowing debris inside, and it does not have the color changing chameleon finish I'll need in varied environments. That said, for you regular people (sportsmen, concealed carriers, police, competitors, etc.) this looks like a really nice product at a great price!

How much more is battleworn cerakote on the non nitride version. I want to order but want a battleworn cerakote or different options

Can someone tell me how this would handle mud, dirt or sand? Looks like it could malfunction and affect reliability.
Yeah i'm guessing if you go with a slide that has cuts, it's intended to lighten the weight and be more of a race gun type for competitions.
Wouldn't be ideal for a SHTF or real combat in dirt.

Awesome purchase. Just what I needed to finish off my Polymer 80 build. I also bought the Cabela's Trijicon RMR when it was on special for $350 and now I have one bad ass build and it shoots good too.
If a cerakote option isn't chosen, what is the finish on the slide? Raw/bare metal or QPQ/nitride/etc

OK the photo shows black the heading says nitride when I go to the website its a picture of a black nitride slide but the description says it comes sand blasted matte stainless. So which is it?
