im pretty sure this same handguard can be had on ebay for $35 .https://www.ebay.com/itm/7-9-10-13-5-15-Ultra-Light-M-LOK-Free-Float-Handguard-Rail-Mount-Nuts-US/382554104276?var=651309602327 i do like the form factor, but I think Id rather get us made. dirtybird industries or the like
Ordered on the 18th, received on the 29th. I'll agree with what others said, you kind of get what you pay for. The finish is ultra....'dry'. Mine had two scratches on the top at the muzzle end, somewhat deep. Because of those two complaints, i'm going to be refinishing mine to make it more comfortable to hold. But it is a light aluminum hand-guard for under 50 bucks, so not bad for a first timer, and I'm ok with it.
Put one on a spare parts build I did and had to have it warrantied before it was even put on. That being said. They not only refunded my money but sent me a new rail no questions asked. Would I buy another one...? Probably not. Sharp edges on these rails are ridiculous and the cheap Chinese hardware is just that. Cheap Chinese hardware.
I recently purchased this from Optics Planet they were very slow on shipping and delivery the product had numerous nicks and scratches in the finish. The finish was rough and actually somewhat sharp on certain edges.Maybe I got a bad one but that doesn't make up for the shipping delay or the scratches not a happy customer.
A 6061 aluminum tube is a 6061 aluminum tube whether extruded in China or USA.
5% off in cart doesn't seem to be working...
Used one of these is a recent built, and I was impressed for the price.
I bought one last night for a new build. Hoping it is decent.
I upgraded one of my buddies rifles with this hand guard and it was crazy easy to install and a nice quality hand guard. He really likes it.
Made in China, for the discerning AR ‘Merica Builder to be aware of.
I with you on "Buy American", but no American manufacturers except Matrix Arms, and more recently Luth-AR have shown any interest in the under $100 market. Matrix Arms appear to be more concern with OEM contacts than retail marketing of their handguard, and may only shift to production runs during lulls in OEM demand. I'm a fan of Luth-AR, hopefully their handguards will be good enough to justify their $25 to $45 higher price. Another point worth mentioning is that in many American households the lady of the house is going to be much less pissed at you for buying a $40 Chinese made handguard than she would be if you spent $200 to get one that was made in the USA. .
want a decent priced american made handguard check out these guys factory direct saves you a little not sub $100.00 but pretty close and solid, I have one on my latest build it is definitely stout.

On that note I also have a matrix Arms over at AR15 discounts I picked up on clearance but they are sold out love it great quality as well.
Joe bob outfitters has them priced pretty fairly as well.

I've used these and the 13.5 inch model on more than a dozen builds since my comment 42 months ago. These have indexing tabs that work well with standard forged Mil-spec uppers, but could be an issue with some billet uppers. They are very easy to install, look good, and are sturdy enough to meet most shooters needs at an attractive price. The steel barrel nut is made in the USA and the 6061-T6 rail is imported from China. I've also used the Matrix Foxtrot, and Tacfire A.C.E. M-Lok handguards recently, both work well, and look good.. All three can be bought at Optics Planet for under-$60 and should serve you well.
