despite all the commandfudds in here trying to throw shade at people's personal preferences, this BCG performs as good as it looks. definitely lubed it up before using though just to be on the safe side.

I laughed a little bit the first time I saw one of these on the range. Guy just started talking to me out of nowhere and really wanted to show off his 50 Beuwolf. There were little red Strike Ind accents all over it...then there was this, thing. I directed him to the gangsters down the line a ways who were rapid firing an AK folder from the hip as I was sure they were more likely to appreciate the bling. He should've just dropped for a DLC. He was embarrassed and rightly so, but it was completely unintentional.

If someone wants to put a gold, purple, pink or chrome BCG with a spinning emblem on it and diamonds...who gives a shit if it's not what you like. If they have the money to spend, and like it, I say go for it. I'm not ever one to trash what someone else likes if it works good and practical. I leave the trashing to the douche bags that think they know it all.

So you're that guy at the range who shits on every one else's equipment and starts throwing around labels like "gangster."

Just wondering, have you ever hip-fired an AK? If so, why aren't you a gangster as well?

Titanium Nitride is very slick and extremely hard. Running a lubeless rifle is a bad idea redardless of the bcg. Drain the oil out of your car and drive it around. Let me know how that works out for you. Metal moving parts need a buffer between them. A slicker finish is just going to decrease the friction coefficient and provide longer life. And these are not polished and therefore not flashy. They do clean up really easy. Maybe a hair better than a regular nitride bcg.

I've never had a single issue with a cheap milspec parkerized bolt carrier group, or melonite, or polished Nitride. My question for anyone willing to answer is does titanium nitriding provide an opportunity to run a lube free rifle? Or is it just easier to keep clean? I could order two Nitride bolt carrier groups today for $130 with free shipping, but they won't have the flash or pizazz like gold titanium nitriding does.

I have a fair amount of AR'S and they all have different coatings and there is not a significant difference between them. The 1 I dislike most is the carrier on my DD5V2, it's coating is a pain in the ass to get clean.

Mine was delivered a couple days ago and it's very nice. I dropped it into one of my higherend AR's that's cerakoted various colors of grey including tungsten. This BCG really adds to the second cool look and adds different look compared to my other AR's. I get bored so like to change things up. I'm hoping to get it out this weekend to see how it actually performs. But I'm sure it will run just fine. I also had a good interaction with Devin from Sunny. I typically use another Vemdor for my BCG's but I may have found another option!! On a side note the shipping was free and super fast. I got shipping comfirmation in hours after submitting order. I recieved order in 2 or 3 days.. Plus I added a charging handle for like 10 bucks. Awesome...

Titanium nitride coating can be done on anything now. Just don't know if its worth it

The only color that belongs on an AR platform rifle is black. Period.

I don't recommend this or this company, but now is the time to buy something like this if it's what you really want. These were awfully expensive a few years back.

I think you're remembering wrong. That sounds like a description of Cheaper Than Dirt. I've witnessed several gun panics and I don't recall AIM ever jacking prices. I've made several orders with AIM over the years and have had zero problems.

I never said AIM was a price jacker, but TiN parts cost WAY more a few years back everywhere. I was simply saying now is the time to buy at a low price.

chihuahua69, Apologies if you've had any kind of bad experience on a previous order, please email us, we'd love the chance to make it right. And agreed that now is a good time for TiN and other upgraded coatings, it's amazing how much they've come down in price.

I appreciate the amazing customer service, Devin, and have never been "wronged" or "unhappy" with anything from AIM. When it comes to BCGs, though, I do prefer 158 bolts and a company who openly discloses where they source their parts from or machine their own. I know AIM can't always do that, however.

My understanding was that their products were made in Ohio?

perfect to go with my purple AR and my leopard print desert eagle!

If a purple AR with a gold BCG makes for more gun owners who will see how enjoyable the sport is, and in turn make more converts into guns owners, and in turn make for more who are pro-gun, I say more color ARs should be welcome at our ranges any time. :)

Sadly most ranges are populated by high strung commando wannabes who judge your gear harder than a 16 year old Valley girl looks for brand names. They care more about the maker of your BUIS than if you have a DD214 and know how to use it.

Those are the people who chase off the those just testing gun-world waters. I do think it is getting better after 5-6 years ago when dressing like James Yeager seemed mandatory.

Agreed, and you put this in a standard black rifle and it's really not that flashy. The main reasons you go with this are the benefits of the coating, it's a lot like NiB but much harder and more durable.

NP3 is less flashy and a better coating.

I was thinking this would look nice with the HiPoint covered in $100 bills.
