You can't upgrade a mil-spec trigger? You'll never outshoot a 1 MOA barrel? Yeah, about that...
I meant why do all that for a basic newb AR. And barrel I meant you'll never out shoot it to where you wear it out. For a starter AR you cant go wrong with this Aero at all. Also if you cant shoot with a mil spec trigger for personal defense then you need some training or you just cant shoot period.
Actually seems like a good rifle. Maybe upgrade trigger now then later on barrel and stock. Otherwise, decent price for a factory complete AR15.
Since Aero Precision owns Ballistic Advantage that's the barrel that will be on it.
You can certainly buy a better barrel, but not for under 400$ (Lilja, Shilen, Hart, etc.).
