Strength of a Machined Receiver With Universal Fit of a Forged Lower
Aero Precision’s M4E1 Stripped Lower Receiver delivers the strength and unique looks of a billet machined lower, with the lower cost, lighter weight, and easy parts compatibility of a forged lower. The M4E1 starts as an "enhanced" forging from extra-strong 7075 T6 aluminum that is precision machined to final dimensions for compatibility with all standard "mil-spec" AR-15 parts. As a bonus, the good-looking M4E1 has a streamlined profile, without the chunky appearance of many milled lowers.
Actually, the Aero Precision M4E1 Stripped Lower Receiver is not quite "stripped." Extra benefits include an integral triggerguard, which creates a more rigid, structurally sound receiver than a standard AR-15 lower, and also eliminates the risk of accidentally breaking off a triggerguard tab when working on the rifle. The enlarged triggerguard opening gives extra clearance so you can easily operate the trigger when wearing gloves.
The M4E1 comes with an easy-to-install threaded bolt catch roll pin that eliminates the risk of damaging the lower’s finish during installation (OK, you may be able to still do damage, but you’ll have to work hard at it!). Other features of the Aero Precision M4E1 stripped lower include:
- Flared magwell opening facilitates fast, one-shot mag changes
- Threaded takedown pin detent recess for easy buffer removal without chasing down a flyaway detent!
- Accepts standard mil-spec AR-15 fire control components, pistol grip, buffer tubes & stocks
- Hardcoat anodized to resist surface wear, in Matte Black or Cerakote™ Flat Dark Earth
The Aero Precision M4E1 Stripped Lower Receiver even has a polymer-tipped tensioning screw nestled in the grip tang that you can adjust for a tight, rattle-free fit with the upper receiver. All the benefits of a custom machined lower without the downside!

Why does the deal say $89.99? They are $99.99.
But $99.99 isn't $100 to utilize the code. You would have to use a filler and in that case it wouldn't be $89.99. The other day when I was looking at these receivers at Brownells, they actually were $89.99 without the code and they were in stock. Not sure why Brownells jacked the price up.
Hahaha...looks like someone changed the title of this posting after I pointed out that the price wasn't really $89.99. How can they still say that the price is gonna be $89.99 exactly after a filler and the code? How do they know what filler is going to be used to get exactly $89.99? What is someone going to add as a filler for 1 cent? Even if you added something for 1 cent and used the $10 off code, it would be $90, not $89.99. Kinda rubs me the wrong way, because the price *was* $89.99 before any code just a couple weeks ago. In the end, it's up to them what they wanna charge, but the way they have been advertising it on here after they raised the price $10 per, is a little mis-leading. What they should be advertising is $99.99 per lower but they have a $10 off $100 code *if* you spend over $100. Also...they should put in the ad that there is a $10 ffl charge on top of the price, so the $10 off code is nullified by their ffl fee. Brownells used to be the best...now...not really diggin their practices.
Primary arms had a better deal on one and without the FFL fee
No longer the posted deal. Current price after code is $227.97
Just purchased 3 and cost me $197 shipped! Awesome deal. I used the 25$ off code SKF. They also do military discount if it's not already discounted.
Count me in for 3. Same deal as you, ordered today. Agree with others, I wish they would dump the BS “ffl fee” that we all pay TO OUR OWN FFL, lol, but bottom line after discount code = good deal.
I bought six... with a President's Day $35 off $350 coupon, even after adding in the $10 FFL transaction fee, the shipped to me price was $55.82 each, delivered. Not bad for a quality lower. The standard Aero Gen 2's have been coming in around $40 each, delivered, if you can find the right coupon and buy at least 5 at a time to "equalize" the $10 FFL transaction fee.
Unfortunately, after years of doing business with Brownells, I no longer trust them. I inquired about an incomplete order, four times since December 7th. They don't even have the courtesy to respond. I will not do business with them again, unless they decide to make this right.
Sorry to hear that bro-seephus. I just ordered a half dozen of their cheaper lowers yesterday and they are in the mail today. Just like all the other times I order from Brownells.
Put one together last night for a 7.62x39 pistol build really nice and easier than a regular lower. The uppers are expensive compared to a Anderson $29 upper, but both will work. One of the best bang for your buck out there!
This is the cheapest time in history for AR’s, start your personal collection today, cause in the future you will not see these prices!
Just got mine from e-arms. Fast ship, and a discount for multiples. My ffl, who charges zero for transfers, had them all on the same form. Nice upgrades and amazing quality at the price.

$65 shipped, no $10 for fee
These lowers are sweet. No roll pin for for bolt catch, it's a screw. Plus it has the screw for upper to lower fit. Top notch lower. Great look to it with the squared off flats on the forward assist.
Schuyler or E-Arms all day long.
My ffl isn't on their approved list. Cant complete my order
just select your FFL then have your FFL send in their info to [email protected] and they'll complete it. Mine isn't in their system either, but I have him send it in each time I order from them and I get them in record time
When you come on here to complain about the $10 fee.. or how much you could get blah blah blah last year.. please provide a link to a current cheaper price. That way you are helping. Not just being a TOOL.
wow, we're getting happy about $70-$75 Aeros again? I'm stupid glad I stocked up last year when Brownell's had Aero's for $39.99 and blem Adam Arms lowers for $29.99 shipped.....
No offense, but I have NEVER seen these specific Aero lowers go below $60... These are the newer M4E1 lowers, and they look FAR better than the older standard lowers, and also have a few more added features. I have picked up lowers for $30 too, but NOT these ones!
Great stocking stuffers for kids and grandkids yet to be born.
Hopefully, none of them apply to you.
Price went up. A few weeks ago bought two at Brownells at $59.99 each. Used $10 off $99 so it canceled out the FFL fee. The FFL fee is per transaction.
I think you mean $84.99 since Brownells want's to charge for both sides of the FFL fee...
The $10 FFL fee Sucks! They never mention it, but then it appears after you place the item is in your cart. I like to do business with companies that are up front with their pricing and shipping, and don' t try to BANG YOU IN THE ASS at checkout.
Was gonna buy one until the $10 ffl fee...then I gotta turn around and pay another $20 to my LGS...kills it for me...
While you're at the $10.00 FFL, try one of their 19 cent hamburgers.
Dang, tried to buy today (19th) and the price is 86.00 plus whatever fees/shipping :(
Brownells always has 10 dollar off codes. Buy 2 lowers and the 10 dollar ffl processing fee is gone.
This is a great product and a good price.
These are better than I expected. I picked up two of these yesterday, and they match up very well with two Aero Precision uppers I had bought a couple of years ago. Design, fit, finish, and price make these a very good choice for anyone to use on a budget build. These are not at the level of quality of a Mega, or Spike's "Match Set", but they do offer a cost effective enhancement that you may want to consider.
don't forget the $10 FFL fee Brownells tacks on to every firearm order.
10fee on top of local 25 dollar fee to my local ffl dealer? Or do these ship straight to my house?
Its a firearm...it will be shipped to a FFL not you. So price of lower + $10 fee from brownells + your FFL fee= your real cost. I'd just check what your FFL would sell you one for.
These are definitely an upgrade over a standard AR stripped lower. Has a few more machined areas, and upgrades.
Thanks for this! The code gave me $10 off which cancelled out the FFl fee. I paid $104 out the door
