The Aero Precision 5.56 Black Nitride Bolt Carrier Group – keep the classic appearance of the AR15 with the benefit of an advanced low friction coating. Black Nitride coating minimizes the need for lubrication and cleaning. The billet carrier is machined from 8620 steel, case hardened, and features both a properly staked gas key, and forward assist serrations. The bolt is machined from Carpenter 158 steel, case hardened, shot peened, HPT/MPI tested, and designed to function with the .223 family of cartridges. The mil-spec extractor is machined from 4340 steel, with installed o-ring and spring. All of Aero Precision’s Bolt Carrier Groups feature a laser engraved Aero “A” logo.
