Let us know how they are. I had 4 in the cart with my cc ready and bailed out.

The deal seems almost too good to be true. $9.99 and free shipping for $39 and up... like they're trying to cut losses and dump them as quick as they can.

Be a waste of $40 if you're scared to wear anything but steel toes around them for fear some Chinese kids shoddy spot weld was gonna give way and break a foot or sever a toe. That'd be a real game winner.

I was shipped 6 Blackhawk Sportster cans in a box that could probably hold 15 cans. The package was lightly "salted" with a useless amount of air pockets. It looked like they were fighting in the box. I don't know who won, but they arrived very scratched and lightly dented. A CSR tried to blame FedEx. They will serve my purpose, but I will not be shopping at Academy again.

I have NEVER been impressed with Blackhawk Sportster ammo cans. Everytime I've seen them at this price in stores, I either pass or grab one of the chinese ammo cans. EVERY SINGLE Blackhawk can I've seen looks like it was old army surplus that had been dropped, kicked and dragged a long pavement. There were defects in paint, and I practically had to get a pry bar to open them. In fact when I first encountered them I thought they were old army surplus. Of the Chinese made ones I've seen, they seem to be in a lot better shape and I didn't have to use brute force to get it to open.

At least you got the good USA made cans. There was two different ads posted here, one for the Chinese "game winners" and one for the USA made Blackhawks which I received and are of excellent quality.

Some guys got screwed and got shipped a mixture of Chinese and American made cans. Other guys also said their cans were shipped haphazardly. Mine were perfect, they even put pieces of scrap cardboard between the cans so they wouldn't scratch each other.

Scratches and dings I can deal with, I mean C'mon, they're ammo cans... but Chinese manufacture and I'd be pissed because I specifically ordered the US made variety. Sounds like we lucked out.

Hope they're good. Just ordered 4, came to a little over 10 dollars per can shipped even with sales tax.

Anyone know if these are as good as the mil-spec ammo cans? They look similar, but they don't say.
Tnx.

From the reviews @ the link above:

"This AMMO Can its not mill spec or anything like that but it is way better than the plastics ones.. and for the price can't go wrong."
