80 Percent Arms Universal 80% AR-15 Easy Jig

FREE SHIPPING

The universal fit Easy Jig™ is a patent pending device that makes machining your 80% lower easier, faster, and safer. Lowers finished with the Easy Jig™ have a better finish and hold tolerances that could not be achieved using any other jig on the market today. You do not need to own a drill press or mill to use the Easy Jig™. It truly makes finishing your lower a monkey simple process. On top of all this, it’s extremely durable and can be reused for dozens of lowers.

The Easy Jig™ is now a universal fit design which fits almost every brand of AR-15 lower.

Easy Jig™ highlights:

Easier
Built in drill/end-mill depth gauge for the trigger and rear-shelf pockets (patent pending)
Eliminates the need for expensive measurement tools
Quick verification of depth setting – eliminates slippage issues that can ruin parts
Eliminates constant measuring to determine depth while milling
Safer
End-mill downward force can’t separate the drill press taper chuck
It is safer to move router by hand than to move the jig around on a drill press

Uses Common Hand Tools
The Easy Jig™ is designed to hold tolerances using a common hand-drill
No drill press is required, milling is done with a router
Routers are much more portable than a drill press, easily borrowed from a friend
Routers are made for cutting pockets using a template
Routers are cheaper than a drill press (about 75% less expensive).
Faster
Pocket drilling requires 10 holes drilled once – Traditional jigs require 42 holes to be drilled once, precisely aligned and clamped, then re-drilled to a larger diameter
Trigger pocket can be cut in 6 to 11 passes vs 25 passes required with a drill press
Router cuts pockets 5-6x faster
Hand-drilling the trigger group/safety selector holes is faster to setup
Lower can be completed in 1 hour (instead of 3 hours for the old drill press method)
Durable
The Easy Jig™ can be used to make dozens of lowers
Components are Type III hard anodized for extra wear resistance

Isn't it a lot easier and cheaper just to buy and trade 100% lower receivers amongst friends and everybody just forget who they traded with?

NO! It would be cheaper to go in on a JIG that can make more than 10 80% Receivers with friends or rent your JIG. No tax, no Background fee and no FFL fee, .... bonus, GOV doesn't know you have a gun!

EX.
I buy a complete lower for $150 and shipping is $15 from a MFG. The State of WA. Forces FFL to collect an 8.4% "Use Tax (UT)" on price & shipping. Then I have to pay background fee ($10) and FFL fee ($15). So total cost is now $203.86 ($165 + $13.86 UT + $25 Transfer/BG fee). $38.86 paid in tax and fees.

Right now 80% lowers are about $40 shipped and lower completion kits are about $70 shipped. So $110 since no tax is charged and no BG or FFL fees are needed.

COST of jig $115 and 80 Percent Arms Easy Jig Tool Kit $45 (presume you or one friend had a router) $160 total. So if I made 4.11 receivers it would be worth it for me to buy a jig!

It's not legal to work/complete any 80% lower for anyone but yourself; but, since you are willing to give/trade someone a gun registered in your name .... well read between the lines!

Got one with the bit set for 160 shipped. Used a Makita miniature router on it and it went well with an unfinished 7075 80% lower. Just used a small bench vise and it went pretty easy. Worst part was dealing with/cleaning up the aluminum shavings. Took me 3 hours being the first time doing it and checking the instructions carefully.

The Ridgid R2401 works for this application.

I wish these jigs could be used with all full sized routers. I don't need to replace the one I have for one sole application...

I used this with my fullsize old Craftsman router. Worked great.

Regarding the question on whether a laminate router will work, check out the comments/reviews on the Dewalt DWP611 compact router on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DWP611-Torque-Variable-Compact/dp/B0048EFU...). The short answer is yes.

I have a couple of 80%'ers, so I'm in for one seeing as how I don't have a press and would need a GS anyway.

Comes without the router, and it’s a 80% Universal AR15 jig, but does not do AR10’s or AR9’s or am I missing something? Seems like alot. It says parts are anodized - so is it made from aluminum? Can it work with a bigger router or a laminate trimmer router? Can I use it with my drillpress? Does it work on both polymer and aluminum lowers?
