You want promag

agreed, I bought a promag for my Taurus 738 during the rush cuz it was the only spare mag I could find for it, it didn't survive 1k rnds, I still have it for parts but it's the last promag I will ever buy

I have 7 of these, 1 10 rounder and a lot of Chip McCormicks . I have not had any trouble in my 2 Rock Island Armories and my GI RIA. Can't speak for any other 1911's. Seems the more you spend on a 1911, the more picky it is with ammo and mags.

I ordered these from SG about 5 years ago when mags were impossible to get..for anything. Horrible. Would not free fall drop out of my rock island. I got CMC's instead and they work great. Cheap quality, IMO. Promag also makes the cheapest quality AR parts compared to other manufacturers for basically the same price.

I've been shooting 1911 pistols since 1982. The axiom, "you get what you pay for" is absolutely true with 1911 magazines. These cheap ones might be okay for the range, but if you use your pistol for self defense, get high quality magazines with a non-tilt follower.

Reviews on SG say these are Pro Mag magazines. I've never had any luck with Pro Mag. Buy at your own risk.

I ordered three of these a couple years ago. Terrible fit. Would not free drop, they bulged in the middle. I switched to Chip McCormics after that waste of money.

Do you really want to put the cheapest mag in your 1911?

At the range, you bet I do. Nothing simulates real life failures like a cheap range mag.

I'll pass, but I give you credit. It's an idea I wouldn't have thought of...

Actually that is a good idea.
