I have this one. The light isn't very bright cause it's as low as 300 lumens. It's only good for like when power goes off and you want to grab something.

I have another one bought from taobao in China two years back labeled as XM-L2 for only 25 RMB = $3.75 . I just check price now only 21 RMB = $3.15. That one has 1200 lumens when used with 18650 battery. No kidding.

The gun mount that can be used on 1" lights gets good reviews. Just ordered some. Come from the country we owe all the money to. Slow shipping from China. Might be a mall rats wet dream.

I have one of these, works off a AA but it's loose inside as it's made for a 14500. It is great for the price and pocket sized. I think the focus is lame, it just slides front to back (I'm sure recoil would change focus). If you don't mind getting into 18650 batteries and charger there are better cheap Chinese flashlights on Amazon. My favorite except it's just a little more than pocket sized, very bright with a bright focal point, non adjustable: Ultrafire C8 Cree Xm-l LED. I have 3 of that one used around the house, shoot light across 5 acre yard and camping; none have failed (yet). I left the first one on for an hour to see if it would kill itself from heat and it didn't. You can grab a cheap rail mount on Amazon, which I have but keep forgetting to take it shooting and see if the light will fail from such abuse. It is light enough for that use. They are brighter than my Streamlight LED. Of course I don't expect them to last thru what my streamlights have endured. They're just a great answer to having multiple flashlights on the cheap.

I order 2 of these and they took 3 weeks to come from china, no big deal, light is very bright very light 3 modes high low and strobe, you can focus the beam when its all the way focused you get a little square pattern that is in the shape of the led, kinda weird but works well doesn't get hot and using a rechargeable battery i get over 6hrs of constant on time on high, overall good deal for the price, i am going to buy 10 more for xmas gifts and back-ups and still be cheaper then others. If you havent received it just file a report with amazon and amazon will refund you no big deal,

BUYER BEWARE!!! Ordered 5 of these on 1-31-20-16 and of course they were shipped by a third party from Rice City.
It's 4-18-16 and I still haven't received anything. No reply to my email, no nothing.

same here, and these sellers are all brand new or sitting at 90% or less positive reviews (a lot of those positive reviews are probably fake, too) which is pretty bad since any good seller will be around 99%.

They do take forever to receive but I've ordered like 15 of them and every one has worked well. For a cheapie Xmas gift or just have as spares they're hard to beat.

I bought 7 of these over the past year. Yes, they take forever to get here....so count on it. But for the money these little lights are fantastic! I manage a security company and alot of my guards use these now due to the distance these can zoom out too and how bright they are. Also they are extremely small and lightweight. They easily fit into a pocket without any discomfort. If you can deal with waiting up to a month, then this is a good buy.

Odered mine on September 17th and received them today December 16th. Package says shipped on September 18th. Return address is Pos Malaysia International HUB. I think the hold up is at the the Malaysian port (best guess). My address on the envelope is as plain as day as well as my phone number? Flashlights seems to be good quality. Order at your own risk. I won't order again after the 3 month wait.

ha, I've had things held up in customs for a month or two before so I'm going to keep hoping that maybe my 3 will actually show up at some point! I ordered a few days after you.

I ordered 2 of these on October 13, 2015. I received notification that they would arrive between November 19th and December 8th. Well, it's December 12th and I still haven't received them. When I enter in the UPS tracking number I was provided, it says the number doesn't exist. This deal link should be taken off this website. Seems like several of us have been "hosed" yet it keeps showing up on here as such a great deal. Folks, do yourself a favor and don't order from these overseas thiefs from China. It's a total scam!!!

me too, I ordered them 8/21/15...almost 4 months ago and nothing!! sent from two different amazon vendors from China, both refunded me last week once I finally remembered about the damn things. they are good lights, I own 2 and wanted more for gifts/car but I wouldn't recommend these shady taiwanese/chinese resellers on amazon.

Me too, bought 4 in September and now the seller is no longer listed with Amazon and I'm out $10. Proceed with caution people.

Ordered 4 back in July. Said they would be delivered in September. Thought it was not a big deal since they were coming from China.

November starts next week. Still no product on my doorstep.

I emailed the retailer a week ago and have received no response. Ready to file a claim with Amazon.

These are junk. The button clicky usually fails within a week or two. I've bought 5 myself and stashed them around. Any use and the fail.

Buy quality once and be done.

I've had one since 2012 that I use almost daily and another I've had for 6 months that I use once a week or so in the garage/car and never had a single issue. I think you might've gotten junk/knockoffs. there are many on amazon that will rip you off or sell inferior products that's for sure.

It's certainly possible one could last for a long time but the issue for me is these are NOT worth the hassle. I bought 2 from ebay, 2 from amazon & 1 locally from a "survival" store.

My Fenix E12 costs $25 and hasn't quit with years of abuse (dropping from ladders, in water etc.) It's like guns, buy once, cry once.

Description says "Can come to 300 lunens"
Now that's funny
It's either 300 lunens or it isn't.
I ordered a few anyway

These are better than the ones that look similar from other Chinese brands, but 1/5 came broken.

I've bought several of these as well. I can tell you that the ones from UltraFire are much better than the others that look the same. Every UltraFire one I've purchased is still going strong. I purchased 15 of a similar light to give as gifts (they were cheaper by a few bucks). They looked the same but were were some other brand name. 8 of the 15 fizzled and died with a little puff of smoke the first time I turned them on. Amazon was great about the return.

The UltraFire branded lights feel a little more solid and the machined aluminum is a bit nicer. Otherwise they look exactly the same. If you going to buy a cheap commie Chinese flashlight, buy the UltraFire.

No offense but I think I will pay an extra 37 CENTS trusting Amazon or ebay with my CC number. I mean AliExpress does have an entire 1.83 out of 10.00 on resellerratings.com so what is the worst that could happen ;)

They're coming from China, via Amazon, regardless. Same supplier probably. AliExpress has a pretty good policy on refunds for bad goods. I've used it on many occasions after receiving sub-par products.

I trust you but not their 1.83/10 rating. Ebay and Amazon will step in on any transaction even if the supplier will not. Worth (in my book) a quarter, a dime, and two pennies to know who I am giving my credit card info to.

Question, are these even actual UltraFires that you found on Aliexpress or do they knock off their own country's products too? Haha I have ordered from them before so I am not trying to be self righteous, but I felt slimy when I did.

I've made as high as an $800 purchase on Ali. It was scary but the exact same Chinese product sold for 1400 in the states so I went for it. The seller doesn't get paid till you confirm you got what you ordered unless something has changed. I've probably spent 1500 on there successfully. I haven't used Ali much recently because the Chinese sellers are more aware of retail price here and they've adjusted prices higher. The one snag I did have on there; Ali did their job and the seller was no longer in the end (at least in that name). They tried a bait and switch, it did not reach the point of shipping the item. I was impressed with Ali's efforts on that, here in America we protect crooks.

I've bought about 10 of these spread out over a couple of years. I haven't had one die yet. They've been strategically placed around the house, in cars, bug-out bag, nightstands, etc. They are ALWAYS the brightest lights in public campgrounds wherever I go.
Can't say enough good about them. If they die, they were cheap... but I haven't had one go yet. I've dropped them, thrown them... they keep on going.

Same here. One at the back door for letting the dog out, one clipped on his leash, car, garage, bedside, BOB's, travel bags, etc... I even have some nicer torches and still carry these. The telescoping/zoom focus is great!

I bought one if these off of ebay for around the same price. No where near the 300lm they claim but it is much better and brighter than any other flashlight in this price range. The zoom feature is also really cool how far down the beam will 'close.' If I had to guess you can drop the circle to about a beach ball size from 15-20 yards away. I agree with others the switch is a little flaky.

BTW what caliber is this gun?

I have 2 of these, at least real close to these one came with 2 rechargable 18650 batteries and charger, and one of the batteries was dead out of the box would not charge, but the charger has to have it in there to charge the other. the light has good output and still works what little I use it.
the other, though identical casing and operation is a multi-mode light that uses AA batteries only and is still working though I only use as a backup. the focus is a nice design, but the cap moves freely with no oring or anything to hold it in place.

my take is for less than $4 shipped the aa is good as a backup light, but would not use it as an emergency light in a car/truck as it may not work when you need it.
they are good however for throwing all around the house, in drawers, in the gun safe to see when you need to occasionally etc.

Bought several last year, most are in the trash now, mainly because of poor quality switches. Don't use them and they will last forever.

Believing reviews on Amazon is like believing in Santa Claus Doubt if 6800 people felt so strong about the flashlight to write a review. https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2015/04/13/amazon-sues-sites-that-sell-fake-reviews/...

You do realize what you linked was Amazon suing websites for selling fake reviews right? They might not all be, but at least Amazon is showing that they desire all of their reviews to be accurate.

I bought six last Christmas. None of them have had an issue. They are pretty bright. The only thing I do not like about them is that they do not stay on the same setting each time they are turned on. They switch from high then to low then to flash.

I bought 20 of these exactly one month before xmas and they did arrive in time. I am sure there are many different vendors on Amazon. I think I got them for about $2.95? I put batteries in all of them before giving them to the kids and they all worked. I kept 4 of them and they dont show any signs of the switch breaking like some people have commented. I dont use them that much but my kids have played with a few of them and everyone knows that kids can tear stuff up with ease, they are still working. I think its a great cheap light that you dont have to worry about losing. Expect to see them being released with a 3 way (high-low-strobe) switch in a silver finish because the company that i bought them from sent me a sample of the new light. They didnt say how much it will sell for but i like the 3 way switch.

If you want the 3-mode light, you can get it here. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E5Y5QH4/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

I wanted to try one out quick so I ordered through Best Fire since they are fulfilled by Amazon and I got it for $7.99 with free super saver shipping. It was delivered in about a week.

The 3 mode light does not have a memory so if you turn it off in High Mode, it comes on the next time in Low Mode...etc. No big deal as I just cycle through until I turn it off in Strobe Mode, then the next time is comes on in High Mode.

The 3-mode capability is in the circuit board that the LED is mounted to... not the actual switch. There are two different switches I've received... both orange but one is textured and relatively firm while the other is smooth and kinda loose. I put my preferred textured switch on the 3-mode since I'll be using that one more.

Honestly, the standard on-off version is a better buy for the price. The modes are kinda fun to play with but the light isn't really shockingly bright enough to make the strobe mode effective.

I also bought the lights at

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00547SCXG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

and

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00934M9YO/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i04?ie=UTF8&psc=1...

from Bestfire. I received the exact same lights for these two orders. I really think that the light output is similar to this little one using a 14500 lithium battery and I prefer this small light with the option of AA battery backup instead of these that take 18500 batteries or two CR123 primaries.

Hope that helps!

** UPDATE **

The 3-Mode version of this light will always start in High mode if you wait an hour or so before turning it back on. Apparently, there is some residual current lurking in the circuitry that will simply advance to the next mode if you immediately turn it off then on.

Example: Turn it off in High Mode... it will turn back on in Low Mode. Turn off in Low Mode... it comes back on in Strobe Mode.

Disposable product. You're lucky to get 2-3 months of light use before the switch goes out. But that's the world we live in now right? I have 4, oops no 3.... the switch just went out on another one. Crap!

I'm sure these are sourced according to whatever the lowest Chinest bidder is at any given time but I've had three of these for 6 months of fairly rigorous daily use with no issues whatsoever. I use a regular AA battery in one of them and 14500 lithium batteries in the other two.

Just for kicks... I tried a torture test on one of them today: I threw it at the side of my wooden shed as hard as possible a dozen times followed by dropping it on the concrete several hundred times from a height of seven feet. The thing still works! The switch is fine, the lense is uncracked and unscratched, and nothing rattles. The finish is a little beatup but I wouldn't expect anything to make it through that unscathed.

Don't expect premiere flashlight quality or light output here... but it is definitely worth a roll of the dice. I'll be buying another few. If you don't want to wait 6 weeks for the Chinese slow boat, buy ones that are shipping from the US or fulfilled by Amazon... you'll have them in a couple days for a buck or two more.
